Hello,
I have been commanding some NS games with good success so far. I have some questions that I can't seem to find the answers to
1) How do you set wave points for the Marines ?
2) When you want to siege something, you build a turret factory and at least one siege cannon, then does scanning cause the seige cannon to fire ?
3) When dropping ammo or health is there a way to drop the items faster, rather than one at a time ?
Sorry for the questions, I have read the online faq's and can't seem to find these answers.
Thanks,

2)A siege cannon can only fire at something that the commander or the cannon itself can see, so it will either fire if the cannons is in sight of the target, if a marine can see the target, or if youy scan the target.
3)Not really but useing the hotkeys can make it easier, basically open the medpack menu and press "s" or "a" (I'm pretty sure it is s for medpack and a for ammo) and it will select the medpack for you to drop.

The correct name is waypoints. To set them, select a soldier(s) and simply right click on the ground somewhere. If the waypoint does not appear, keep trying. Some points in the map are invalid for waypoints to be placed, and become a real pain in the arse after awhile!

Siege cannons fire on objects that you, as the commander, can see, and that are within their firing range. Scanning an area simply reveals it for you as the commander so you can see it. So if you scan an area inside the siege cannons firing range, the siege cannon will fire on it, simple as that. The scan itself, however, is not the target that they fire upon.
NOTE: Your own soldiers can be used to reveal an area as well as long as it is within their LOS (Line of sight). Scanning doesnt always have to be used as a targeter, soldiers can too!

Use the hotkeys! Press the hotkey, then click where you want the object to be placed. Rinse and repeat, extremly fast.
I sure hope this helps. Good luck in commanding!!
