Itri is a Research Station that has been working on long range phase technology. Itri Station A017 has been overrun by aliens who were mistakenly brought on the latest cargo shipment. Security Team Able and Fox have suppressed the outbreak, but lost there men in doing so. You, Security Team Dog, must go in and take out the hive.

It's been a while since I mapped, (maybe a year I'm guessing) so this is what I've made over the past few weeks.

    The textures you used is bright already, I'm neutral about that. But, the more darker textures and more 'sci-fi' textures you can find in ns2.wad are way better to use. I'm saying, you did a great job on using old textures do achieve some kind of ambience, but I think using ns2.wad will get the real NS feeling.

    Nice, could be better, could be worse. I like the hive's architecture but the lighting needs some work. Make the lighting darker and add sharper more contrasting colors all around, it'll look like a whole new map, guaranteed.

    The texture wad, reminds me of Gordon Freeman escapades all those years ago.
    The first pic looks good, but the lighting looks kind of boring, no real atmosphere is sparked off.
    Blueman is right about the vent, although vents are vents. But the overuse of that duct texture in CS, is creating clash of sorts in your image.
    The support beams etc, remind me of cs_assault, which is a bad thing <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Still, the architecture look good, and helps the texture probelm.

    Reading your story, I dont think the map relates to the background info. I mean, battles have already been fought, and your map looks as though Mrs.Doubtfire has had a wild Party! try adding some damage etc.

    I agree with everyone else said so far, but have one addition..... better ceilings. Put in skylights, or at the least chop things up and have some pipes running around there. You don't have to change the ceiling geometry all that much, but at least do something to break up the textures. ATM it looks like many of your areas have flat, monotexture ceilings with some accents near that area. To me that just draws my eyes up so I can see the relatively blank ceilings. Another interesting addition: a vent complete with noise and a func_push to make it truly seem like an air vent.
