i havnt pld NS in a while, so maybe i missed summat in the scene. since ive installed v3, i cant put in ANY v2 skins. the whole steam/HL thing crashes out, and gives me a bloody error message.

but u lot are all still skinning, so what am i doing wrong.

all flaming excepted as its a uber-N00b question, but a response might help a little more <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->


oh, and i tried with individual skins, and even tried dropping my old NS file straight into the new one (skins, sounds etc, not loader icons, and crappy bits, just custom bits).

its not on. i avoid most CD servers, coz it just pisses me off turning it on and off constantly.

yeppers, already on that. if i put ANY modles from my old file in there, it causes my HL to crash
