Now officially the stupidest, worst map.
Really, there was nothing wrong with it before. Now it's just stupid. The changes made were not only UNNECESSARY, but the WORST CHANGES I'VE EVER SEEN. Whoever made this map, really, either change it back, or stop making 'improvements'. You suck at it. This is SAD.

First of all, marines need to have hacked gamma to have ANY chance at ALL of surviving in the marine spawn. Seriously, I could be on the dark side of pluto and have better visibility then in this stupid coffin.

Secondly, the comm chair pit is STILL the worst designed feature. No one likes lost because of the comm chair pit, so you put a pit in. I'd love to hear the logic behind that one.

Third, the 'overlook' is just alien territory. Climb the ladder, get your face bitten off. If you're going to make a map, put some FORESIGHT INTO YOUR CHANGES. If you told me a month ago that you were going to make a fifty foot tall ladder that marines had to climb up, I could've told you that a marine would never survive all the way to the top. Guess what, THEY CAN'T NOW EITHER.

Fourth, the overlook is just STUPID. WHat was the point? Didn't want to make a vent... so you make a HUGE ROOM that allows skulks to catapult right on top of the CC, or into your face with leap? So they can xenocide and leap from up there with almost 100% survival until detonation?

Sorry I'm really **** off, playing 6 games (yes SIX, considering aliens killed the CC within minutes) with some of the most skilled players I know and EVERY game ending in a total alien landslide victory is just sad.

Change it back. Now. If this was a joke, it's the worst joke I've seen since mineshaft got through 3 beta patches without a single change or being completely removed. If you were serious about these changes... *shudder*.

How about this: get some skill and actually know what you're talking about.

Wow how productive. Did I expect anything less from a 'veteran' though? I wish I could mute veterans, all I'd miss is lots of elitist **** and whining.

Jesus, you registered just to take the **** out of a map? You got to give it time dude. It's not all THAT bad and he needs FEEDBACK, not FLAMING. So please, rethink what you said and wait until more people play the map tonight.

Just looking at Kestrel after the patch, I gotta admit I did have some concerns. There are so many new vents in that place, its like swiss cheese!
Definitly Skulk friendly stuff - though its worth noting that HA or JPs would probably work wonders. HA shrug off skulks like nothing, leaving them only concerned with larger aliens (and hence larger halls). And JPers can go anywhere a skulk can... maybe you can turn those vents on the aliens? But can you survive that long?
Ah well, i'll have to see how it plays online for myself, but after reading this thread, I certainly won't get my hopes up. :\

Look at the topic title --> "the stupidest, worst map"

Very productive too man, gg. Stop bashing maps. Now. They take tons of time to make. If you want to give feedback on a map, insulting the mapper is the worst way to do so. It makes you look like an idiot. Stay polite, give contructive criticism. Stop using caps. Choose a better topic title. Smoke one and think before posting. Phew.

Sometimes, as i am a (nub) mapper myself, i just dream about some kind of entity that react depending on steam id's of players. You deserve to be attached to a func_pendulum in the hive on kestrel as a toy for aliens or something.

Obviously, since someone can't read the rules. They are at the top of this forum.

HERE THEY ARE AGAIN IN CASE YOU MISSED THEM.

Sorry, buddy, but flaming gets you nowhere in life. It's a beta. Can't deal with it? Don't play it.

Thanks, BigDXLT. I am locking this thread because the approach is much too destructive. Read up on the feedback guidelines that are clearly and visibly stickificated at the top of the forums.
