    Tennis. The person who's serving is really on the defensive, because you have to break your opponent's serve at least once to win. Therefore, while you are serving you're defending, and your opponent is attacking. So, the ball is always in possession of the defender. Further, it's possible for the player trying to break to score points from double falts.

    I have never, ever, EVER even heard of grapes being sold cooked. I must admit I haven't heard of lettuce being sold cooked either, but I can imagine it. Maybe I'm thinking of sauerkraut or something.

    Chess does actually have scoring and points, so it doesn't work. Although, a single game of Rock, Paper, Scissors would work (can't be a series though). A staring contest would have to be the best answer so far.

    2. Strike out but catcher drops ball and you reach first before being tagged or being forced out.
    3. Catcher interference. (ie hitting the catcher's glove when swinging)
    4. Pitch runner
    5. Batter is interfered with by a fielder on the way to first.
    6. Fielder's choice, ie he hits the ball in play, a runner going to second is thrown out but the batter reaches first safely. It's not considered a hit as an out was recorded on the play.
