And I fail to see how european football is free......
As for good free COMPUTER games:
Betrayle at Krondor (it was released for free, go nab it)
Pristone Tale (it is good for a while, you will eventualy get board)
Mu (havn't actualy played it that much)
Gunbound
<a href='http://www.freeallegiance.org/' target='_blank'>Allegiance</a>:
It is a Space combat Sim/RTS hybrid.
Aparently VERY good (If you can get into the groove of things)
There atleast were alot of NS.org people playing it (Including Flayra)
enjoy <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

It's free cos you can use anything that's kickable as a ball and equipment like boots, gloves and clothing isn't required look at africa for example. US footie needs stuff that can be expensive.
Anyway our footie is better that's why the whole world enjoys it unlike yours <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> and before you try and fall back on the "US footie is tougher" we got rugby remember

Head over to <a href='http://www.scummvm.org/' target='_blank'>ScummVM.org</a> and download the Scumm emulator and the awesome point 'n' click adventure, Beneath A Steel Sky.
It's completely freeware and legal, and it's a bloody good adventure game. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yes, buy them. They should still be available. Check the budget section of EB or something, you should be able to find the Monkey Island 1+2 set for about $5 or so. Complete bargain. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

how big is the download?
BTW, if anyone happens to be running linux with the ROX filer, I packaged an AppDir for it (it even uses the Choices system). You need the perl environment and SDL. (Perl-SDL module is included in the AppDir since the current version doesn't work).
for the win

4.5e is the latest version. There are quite a few spelling/character errors though. The russian version doesn't work on my computer, which has cyrillic enabled (but it's not Russian WindowsXP ...so whatever).
[site seems to be going slow right now, but I'm fairly sure it's the right site...if not, just looke for ' "The General" game ' through google.
