Tournament Maps?

On many maps, certain hives are bias towards aliens and/or marines winning the game. For instance the Generator hive on Caged is totally biased towards marines winning the game, it is far too easy to box the aliens into the starting hive. Has anyone thought about creating a series of perfectly symmetrical maps with very smooth texturing for maximized FPS, purely for tournament play. Nothing Fancy, a double node on each map, each hive containing a hive node and a nearby node. People may say that the maps are a part of the game, or that perfectly symmetrical maps are a bore, but I think people would be for these maps... What do you think?

    ... sounds like team fortress to me. why does anybody wants maps from their favourite mods "ported" to ns? live with it. ns is cool like it is. and if anybody feels to create such am map, he actually would. and do you know the combat mode? tell me what would dffer in the gameplay if you create a boring "copy/paste/flip horizontal" map???

    lol, this is a bad idea.

    Life isn't totally balanced, some places in maps should have vantage points for either side. It's better this way. You don't go to a ship and find aliens there, start kicking butt only to find... oh no... the hallways aren't evenly balanced for both teams! argh!!

    for the case you didnt knew that: natural selection is a game. a game is meant to be played as a kind of entertainment. we dont go into a ship to kick butts an realize that it isnt balanced cause... well I havent seen an alien in my life for real so...

    On the topic of balanced maps, ns_veil is the best example of a map being pretty damn balanced.     Like others said, maps <b>should</b> have points that are advantageous to one side or another.
