E_poly 'limit' - How Far Is Too Much?

Possibly something that should be added to the FAQ... I'm making my readyroom really themed with alien and marine areas, but in the marine area, e_polys are fairly steep, even slightly above the guidelines.

How much is too much? Is it acceptable to exceed the limit in the readyroom (where there won't be any combat to spike e_polys)?

(FYI: BrigWolf's models had my e_poly running at 14k <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> I switch to regular NS and it's around 2200 now <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    I know, I read it before I posted here. The thing is, the 2100 was chosen with, I assume, the actual map in mind? It's not nice to lag clients in combat because you decided to put fourty plants in the room.

    What I wanted to know was, is it acceptable for the e_poly to be slightly excessive in areas like hidden easter eggs and the readyroom?

    Here's what I'm doing, this is the join marines area of the readyroom (very very unfinished...). If I absolutely HAVE to keep it under 2100 without anything going on, I'm going to pretty much have to scrap this whole idea and start over. (2100 from 2400 would be as simple as scrapping an armory. However, I still need to put a couple hallways in and all their eyecandy)

    (I set the armories to team 3, so they do absolutely jack)

    If this is in the readyroom, you can safely go past the limit, which takes into account both heavy action going on and a lot of structures being build.
