<div class="IPBDescription">Decisions Decisions! Little Help Here?</div> Well it's that time of the year again, time to treat myself
to a shiny new game <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
At the moment I'm down to a few potentials, which are:
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (GBA - Apparently it's very addictive.)
Metroid Fusion (GBA - I'm working my way through Metroid Prime at the moment and apparently you can get the full version of the NES Metroid if you finish Fusion.)
Yoshi's Island (GBA - Finished it on the SNES and loved it, even the music! If I see a pre-owned copy of this then i'll have to snap it up regardless.)
There are no new (or recent, or old for that matter) PC or GameCube titles that
look as appealing as the titles listed above. So its up-to my good old GBA-SP
to entertain me once again.
So.... any advice/recommendations/things to avoid/etc
Slap them in here with that lovely "ADD REPLY" button.

as many people have said advanced wars 1 or 2 (if you want some mechanised killing) or Fire Emblem (if you realy want some good old fantasy slaughter)
personly I like FireEmblem ALOT.
Again, my suggestion consists of the warez aproach.
Download an emu and the rom then test out the ones your interested in.
buy the one you like <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
oh, right
Fusion Rocks something awsome <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
and I am curently working on Zero Mission (again rocks something awsome)
both the GBA Metroid games are the esiest of all of them, but also some of the coolest toys and puzzles <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
If you're a Metroid fan, I highly recommend Fusion. While it is a bit different than others in the series, it still rocks hard. Very awesome.
And don't forget to check out Metroid: Zero Mission which comes out NEXT WEEK! :D Its a total remake of Metroid 1. A remake, not just a port. (So expect different stuffs)
erase profiles because I picked it up "Used" and the profile name is
"EEEEEEEE". Which annoys me no end!)
I'm swinging more towards Metroid at the moment due to the
vast amount of hours that Prime has stolen from me.
(And the NES version thingy I mentioned in 1st post)
Apparently FFTA has a level system where you lose all of your items
each time you level up :-/ Sounds weird & it's probably too complicated.
(If the game is going to have all-sorts of in-depth systems, menu's,
things to read, etc, then i'd rather do it on a full-screen.)

Same thing happened with my 'new' copy from GAME. Hmmm.
When turning your GBA on, hold L, right and select. That'll erase all your data, so if you've been playing on that name, you may want to leave it.
The real mystery, of course, is why anyone would want to return Advance Wars.
It takes the classic 2D top down approach from Metal Gear & Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, including the radar from 2, and takes some elements from MGS series such as putting your back to a wall, tapping a wall to make noise, and even VR-Training mini games.
The storyline is terrific, as you'd expect from a Metal Gear game. There's even 3 or 4 small cutscenes. Timeline wise, the game takes place a few years after Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (which was never released in the US, but is referenced a lot in the storyline of this game, MGS, and MGS2) and a few years before Shadow Moses.
Being that its a Gameboy Color game, you're not likely to find it new anywhere, and its also somewhat rare of a game to find even in used stores. But if you do manage to track it down it is without a doubt worth the $8 or so.

Nope: Nothing happens when you level up except you leveling up.
Also, the menu's aren't that in depth, and the game is quite simple once you get used to it. Its robbed a LOT of time from me, and man, I swear, best GBA game ever. I'm glad I sold all the other games you mentioned to get it: It was worth it, 10x over, easily. I'd get FFT if I were you.
Its not out yet so just how would you know that eh? :P
The developer says its longer than the original Metroid...
