    Excellent idea -- tools, tool boxes, weapons & more on the ground would provide cover. The trick is restricting movement so that players *have* to go through these close-in areas; how about some additional furniture to walk under?

    Half-Life ladders were yellow, grey and red <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> There are more colours on the spectrum too, different Hues and shades can be done. Possibly a dark brown colour for a rusty ladder instead of the nice neat and bright yellow ns ladders.

    You could make it entertaining. Players could go up and press its nose, to which they would hear:

    " Im a dead rat, on a map called rats, the irony killed me"

    The ladders in NS are yellow. Get over it. If you want a different color, change them yourself. I am sick of hearing babies like wRaven(who I think is amckern in disguise) whining about the color of the ladders. If you have a problem with them, change 'em yourself!

    Yeah, make customs. Hopefully someone can make a really nice rusty ladder texture. I would like that. NS Ladders may be yellow, but that could soon change Zazi. Like Bruce Forsyth says "If the Price is Right" (You will get that if your british).

    Oh lol, Amckern in disguise. I think wRaven is just some random ex-CS Mapper. Leave him be, let him learn the ropes of NS, as long as he leaves out the stupid posts.

    What I think about this map:

    Awsome idea. Aliens will stand no chance though... so make it an ns_ map instead of co_. This will allow for aliens to go lerk/fade/etc without having to get impossible kills.

    If the ground is cluttered with ammo, stim packs, and the occasional shotgun i think the balance will be slightly improved, untill the aliens get lerks and fades and the marines get jps <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Obviously it wouldn't be WW1 style trenches with artillery fire, it would be just indendations in the floor.

    For extra features, you could make the textures 3d - ie the cracks in the textures become cracks in the floor.

    6.00 scale usually. Howveer, the grating is too small still to make cracks like that.

    I like rats style maps. The UT2003 ones were HUGE!

    Hmm.. how about having a level under the floor. Kinda make it like the details that you would see under the gratings in some NS maps, except you can actually go under the grating. Also, too bad JP's don't take falling damage anymore. A 3-hive gorge would be deadly here if JP's did.

    Iwould have thought about this problem first. maybe this style will fit cs where there is no player flying around. lower the room, make lights hanging from the ceiling and wires touching the ground.

    HCl is the chemical symbol thing for hydrochloric acid, and 18 mol/L signifies the strength, 18 means it will burn through..... something absolutely friggin huge
