Driver Component Sizes Mis-match

Like the title says... that is the error I receive anytime i run NS in 2.01 or 3.0 in openGL mode. It happened randomly after I restarted and didnt touch my settings whatsoever. I don't know what to do to fix it though. Counter-strike seems to work perfectly in openGL. Only seems to be NS. Here is what I've tried so far:

-Reinstalled DirectX 9.0b
-Uninstalled/Reinstalled Detonator drivers (with every version possible pretty much)
-Used "Nasty File Remover" to uninstall all the hidden drivers and files that nvidia leaves behind for a truly clean install of detonator drivers.
-Reinstalled Windows XP Pro (with Upgrade option not with clean install)
-Disabled Nvidia display driver service (just to try it)
-Replaced the opengl32.dll in windows/system32/ with a new/older one (everyone I could find to try what worked)
-Used RivaTuner to try different openGL settings
-Uninstalled and reinstalled Steam/NS

----After alot of settings manipulation I finally bought a new card... went from GeForce3 Ti200 to a GeForce4 FX5200 Ultra 256mb.... and guess what? Same error when I try to run NS.

So after reading everything I have done... you can imagine Im pretty **** and annoyed. Somebody PLEASE help me!!! AHHHH!!

Thanks and <3.

    Did you try reinstalling NS?

I see you overwritten your windows, in my experience, there lies the error.
I've had some strange things too, when i upgraded, or overwritten my windows,
it just didn't get fixed, but with a clean install, the sun started to shine.

    So i'd suggest:

    First: reinstall NS
    second: Reinstall Steam
And if neither works: format c: (backup stuff, just format, it's still the cleanest.)

Yea I'll probaly have to do a clean install if I ever want openGL with NS again. Was hoping for a more precise answer so I could avoid that.

it honestly looks liek you have tried everything exept for a clean install

    and as a side note:
    Upgrading = breaking not fixing <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
