N00b Flood!

Dont get me wrong i dont mind n00bs but...... It seems like thier has been aton more n00bs lately and that is a good thing because it means ns is growing alot faster now, but its driving me crazy!!! iwa on a server where we had every res node but 2 the aliens had 2 hives we had secured the third, we have 400 res all wepon upgrades ha and jp. and yet we couldnt get anything done!!!! i mean i grabed a shottie and a jet pack and killed 2 onos on my way to a hive, but becaseu i had to shoot the onos i had little ammo, and apperantly the commander had no idea what the words "i need ammo" mean or how to respond to the ammo call. anyways while most my team sits around doing nothing i fly to the top of the hive and shoot my remaing shotgun rounds into it. after that i knifed it, heck i knifed it till it died. then i went back to base and loaded up on more ammo. on the way to thier last hive i get digested by a onos, no big! then when i respawn i continually ask for a shottie and a jet pack but the commander drops me a HA and a hmg! (by the way we now had 500 res) so i head off to the last hive making a quick stop at biodome to cap the res node and what do i find a billion jillion (alot) of oc's and a hive under construction, so i continue to shoot the hive but die to ocs befor managing to do so. after spawning again i get my shottie and jp and proceed to try by my wee self to take another hive out (who knows what the rest of my team are doing most of them are probally sitting at base shooting the wall) so onto biodome i go when i get digested by an onos (wha whered he come from). really this article has little point and i wrote cuse i was fuming becaseu playing with all thease n00bs made me quite agrevated, but now after calming down i realize this is kind of a dumb thing to post, oh well i already spent this long writing it might as well post it.

    Learning how to command properly is probably the hardest thing to pick up in NS. It only comes through experience, which means they're gonna have it rough when they first start out.

    It probably would have been more productive if you had given the commander some advice on what to do. Since there was lots of res and little pressure, it would have been a relaxed learning environment for him.

    Same thing was said during 2.0's release (much more so, 2.0's release was not a "beta" release, and was very heavily advertised). Wish I could find links to back it up, but I can't, so you get to take that at face value.

    the thing is, i gave him tons of advvice taught him how to siege and everything, the agrvating thing was that the game had been going on for like almost 2 hours and little had happened. i just dont like how when a map changes from combat to classic all of the people who now how to play aleave and you are left with nothing but n00bs

    Id say the biggest problem is everyone in 3.0 getting mad at people for things they dont understand.

    Then again, we might look at this from the other side... that the team wasn't comprised of 'n00bs', but rather that perhaps the (possibly even seasoned) Comm had a different plan than what bade wanted to do.
    And after all, since JP/Shotty is the easiest way to win, it must be The Only Way To Play©.

    Perhaps rather than having a newbie team, Bade just joined a team that actually listened to their Comm, rather than running off in every direction EXCEPT toward their waypoint. That didn't complain when they were handed a different weapon than the one they particularly wanted.


    But then, if something like that happened, wouldn't it be a complete shock?


    Regardless, as it most likely was just an influx of new players, the boards are still not a place to bring whines and complaints about new members of the playerbase.
