Hah, i thought the same thing when i D/L'd that crap. what the hell, where's my renderer. If you want some decent renders i'd suggest getting cinema 4d, I'm not sure the price tag, but there is a trial version around somewhere that is full featured, oh except for saving. But it does render to whet your appitite (sp?)

Easy answer: maximize the viewport you want to take a picture of, and hit your Print Scrn button. Open the image editor of your choice (hell, Paint works) and hit Ctrl-V to paste it in. Crop/resize as you like, then save it as a jpg.
It's not a render, but it will allow you to post pics of your work.
