Freedom Fighters.
Just go rent it. I did a few weeks back, and have been craving it ever since. Its short, but its a incredible ride. Just...go rent it. You'll end up buying it. Its for PC, but be warned, you can't save anywhere but in between missions.

I brought it for my X-Box

And you can "save" during a mission just do a non-permenent "Quick-save" at the manhole's.

I got the Soundtrack from Jesperkyd.com
Some tracks are too slow for my liking but there's
some great dramatic stuff on there too.

My favorite no-hype game was Fire Warrior.

    Meh, I played it on a ps2.

I can now safely say that my PS2 is only good for sports games.

The only thing that irritated me was the gunfire physics. The hero has either really really shaky hands or has no concept of point and shoot. You can't blame the AK.

It's well worth a rent, but doesn't really have much replayability.

Yeah, I know, but after a few weeks of firing guns at people you should learn how to use it. This is the level of just plain sad.

Played it on PC and beat it in one long weekend, then convinced 2 other friends to go get it. The very few bugs it has don't affect gameplay enough to be worth changing, so as far as I know it doesn't even have a patch available. We haven't hade a major game developer make a game patch-irrelevant since back in the old days, when rushing a game out the door and following it up with constant updates wasn't an option. That gives it plenty of recommendations from me.

Soundtrack is amazing. Atmosphere is amazing. It was short -- arguably too short, but there's 4 times when I thought "dang, this mission's got to be the grand finale!" Gameplay was rather perfectly balanced on the 2nd hardest difficulty, despite wonky weapon accuracy. Control system is very elegant, and it has some of the best friendly AI I've seen since Opposing Force. I'm seriously waiting for a sequel, because I'll agree that it has (sadly) no replay value.
