    if you want something REALY cool, do some research on litestep

    its totaly free and it is infact a window manager for Windows (window managers are the Guis for Linux <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->)

    it seems incredibly flexible, and absoloutly awe inspiring.

    One of the few females on this forum uses it (I THINK its Geminosity)

    What ever you do, stay away from "Windows Blinds"(something along those lines). I had nothing but trouble with it such as glitching graphics and buttons being messed up. Someone else was telling me about their experiences with it too.

    <a href='http://www.deviantart.com/view/4533528/' target='_blank'>Opus Luna 1.5</a> - Quite a simple, yet pleasing, Windows Theme. I like Windows Classic, this one isnt too imposingly different. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    I tried installing this theme per the creator's instructions but my XP doesn't seem to recognize it. Is there an additional program I need to apply it?

    I'm thinkin' one would need StyleXP - that's the app that's shown as being used in the various screenshots or Mr. b0se's work, at least.

    *edit* at least in most of them - the screenshot of the theme that Fam spotlighted doesn't appear to be using StyleXP...

    I use StyleXP and like it, it uses no system resources if you don't want it to...

    explore <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55381' target='_blank'>this thread</a>, as well as <a href='http://www.themexp.org/' target='_blank'>ThemeXP</a>...

    I have to second ThemeXP/StyleXP. I'm using it right now, and it's quite peachy. In goodness, not in color. There's a wide variety of themes; you'll never run out.
