The Big Reformat.

Every now and then I go through the terrifying experience of a complete hard disk reformat. Today is such a day. While I am comfortable running Linux, I'm just going to be reinstalling XP pro. Maybe when I have more time to burn I'll make the leap, but not tonight.

Now I cross my fingers and hope that I have backed up all my important information. If I am lucky, I will be back on this forum in about an hour. If I am not so lucky I may vanish from the online world permanently.

Hopefully my postcount does not portend any ill luck tonight.
