And exactly what is this? It's bite for Chrissake, it's meant to be close quarters, not from several feet away! I can understand giving it some range to help in all the hectic jumping, but the distances I've seen a skulk's jaw teleport across are an insult. Headshots have come from skulks nowhere near other players, and judging by the sizes of them on my screen when I've been attacked from afar (barely as big as the mini-map) this isn't something that should feature in a game as serious as this.

Proposal: it should be reduced to sensible levels in the next beta.

It's the way they want it. If they really had a problem with it, they could remake the moddle so the bite would fit. But, I don't see them remaking the bite to fit the moddel, though it might look better: gameplay > looks.

Headshot? Location damage doesn't exist in NS.

Does this mean that you saw a skulk on the opposite side of the mini-map from your location and you were bitten? If so, it wasn't the same skulk that bit you. Your attacker was most likely cloaked. Or, if it was the same skulk, he lept at you and finished you off with a bite.

Biting at a marine's head gives an instant kill. Biting at his ankles does not.

There were definitely no other skulks in when I was doing the dying or when I was watching the dying.

It's late, and if that doesn't explain it I'm not going to try to again before the morning.

no special places indeed, but I heared that biting in the head hits more hitboxes, which logically, means more damage.

There is no locational damage in NS. The hit detection for biting is already horrible enough that the range does not need to be nerfed.

And many times I have been hit and killed from around corners. The problem is most likely lag related. The skulk bite range is fine.

in fact ide go so far as to say its longer then a standard 'clean hit' from a shotgun..
something personally i find anoying (eps. with focus) but if its as flayra intended i can live with it..

What you saw weren't headshots, but Focus skulks, which do double damage at half the speed.

Bite's range has been tested countless times throughout development, and has not changed (to my knowledge) in some time. It's where it should be.
