With your host, CWAG...
I've got a AthlonXP 2700+, 512MB DDR 2700 ram, Gigabyte Mobo with AGP 8X, and a Geforce 4ti 4200 128mbDDR with agp 8x. Where is the bottleneck? Some of my games (Like COD) run flawlessly, but whenever I look at lower grade textures like shrubbery or low quality gas or steam or smoke I get bogged down to 30fps, instead of the constant 99 Any ideas? (This applies to ALL my games, even NS (like res node smoke) ) I dont get it...

    Smoke is usually a large, high-detail bitmap rather than polygons. It causes slowdown on all systems (CS's smoke grenades are known as lag grenades), and AKAIK there's not a lot you can do about it except turn down your colour depth and resolution.

    uh... outside of CS isn't smoke usually rather small bitmaps, or more commonly single coloured pixel particles in a particle cloud? I don't check my framerates so I don't have a clue what kind of impact particle engine effects usually have on my spec ^^;

    Your bottleneck is probably in the fact that you dont' have your AGP slot set up to AGP I... honestly forget how you change it, hopefully someone knows, but I think in your BIOS you have to make sure it's set to AGP 8x and nothing else.
