Problem With New Beta 3 Patch 2

<div class="IPBDescription">more info inside</div> Ok installed NS v3.0 patch 1 on my friends computer.. and then downloaded and installed the patch 2.. but when I go into NS either via steam under games, or to try to connect to a server, it goes in, shows the splash screen (3 marines) and then minimizes and goes to windows.. its still in the task bar so i click it, goes in and then does the same thing... alt tab to it.. same thing... So i unistalled NS and just went with the patch 1.. works out fine, play on patch 1 servers just fine and dandy.. please help why is patch 2 doing this annoying thing.. patch 2 works fine on my computer but not his..
