Installed the beta, patched it to beta 2, trying to run it, and I got a nice crash message from half life.

Anyone any ideas or suggestions? Running XP, meeting the minimum requirements, ati fire graphics card. Everything updated to latest version.

sounds like a grafic from one of the maps is missing.

conncted to lunixmonster, seems to have fixed it, although egad under steam I have hellish lag.

Didn't even last that long.

Tried connecting to linuxmonster, and after several timeouts finally connected. To find I'd a ping of 580.


Bit odd considering on the server screen its rarely over 200.

However, everything Steam-related is lagged to hell, so I suppose I'll have to wait till I get my "good" pc back and just play non-steamed 2.01 and other mods. Expected some lag, but adding on 380 is too scary for me.
