need help about gamma bug w/ ns
Hello, I recently installed ns 3.0b1 (haven't played for a couple months) and it was great. i love the way you guys have fixed the game and made it better. one problem i've been having however is with my system's gamma. with other games, specifically CS and DoD, i use the display settings for my graphics card (ati radeon 9800 pro) to increase the gamma. what has happened recently, is as i go into NS, it resets my gamma. this doesn't bother me, because it doesn't help me much in ns. but, when i leave ns, turn up my gamma again, and then go into cs or dod, it resets it like it did when i join a game of ns. when i reboot, it's fine, all fixed. however, it's really annoying having to reboot when i want to go play cs or dod after playing ns, and wanting to be able to see what's on my screen

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

What's been happening with me lately is, I would be playing a game of NS then suddenly it would freeze and then a 'send error report to Mirosoft' message box woulsd come up. Then once I clicked 'Send' or 'Don't Send', it would quit NS and the gamma settings from NS would be on my desktop. So that means everything was so bright and unreadable. The only way to fix it would be to restart my computer.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Please don't piggy back on other threads, however I will help :
    1) There is a resetgame tool in your ns dir (well I think it is, if not there is one in your normal ns dir if you still have, if not I will help you get it)

    2) as for the crashing, you have given us no system specs, you gotta help us help you.

So, go start a NEW thread, give us detailed info about EVERYTING, and well will try to help.

I had the gamma problem in beta 1. However, once I installed beta 2, I no longer had the problem. Now, my second monitor is VERY bright when I play ns, but at least now I can see stuff in the game.

    racer

dual moniters is just flat out not suported.
If you have green text I would suggest disabaling one of them (so you will know what NS is realy about )

also if you moniter is realy bright when playing NS it probably is b/c you have your moniters brightness cranked WAY to high up (note this is bad for your moniter, so I would suggest lowering it. Run the gama tweak tool found in your NS dir (not nsp))

oh, and don't piggy back on threads.
