<div class="IPBDescription">Native English primarily</div> I just need some feedback on this things regarding grammar/spelling. I don't think I made any major mistakes, but I tend to do them all over only to discover them later when it's too late.
It's from Utopia (online game), so the content is probably fairly pointless to most of you. The layout and grammar/spelling is, as mentioned, what I need help with. The forums over at Swirve (those who made the game) don't work for some reason, and I'd like to get some feedback before I forget about it.

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Some basic rules when posting about deleted accounts. Mainly applies to B&S.

1) Do not ask to be reinstated in the forum.
The public forum is not the place to discuss whether you are innocent or not. It is an issue you should take up with Swirve directly through e-mail, and posting in the forum will not increase your chances of being reinstated.

2) Do not ask for others to be reinstated (forum or e-mail).
Simply put, no matter how well you know someone, you can't possibly know if a person is innocent unless you are that person. If the person in question really is innocent, he/she should speak for him-/herself. Never, ever send e-mails asking for someone else to be reinstated.

3) Do not complain about legit accounts being deleted during "sweeps".
If Swirve decide to do a sweep and delete multiple accounts at once, most will be deleted for a reason. If you were deleted, #1 mentioned above applies. If others were deleted, #2 applies. Arguing that "many innocent were deleted" is pointless as you have no way of knowing whether those deleted were innocent or not. If they are, they can speak for themselves.

If you have a *solid* suggestion regarding Swirve's policy on deleting accounts, you are free to post it in B&S. If you simply wish to discuss/complain about deleted account(s), do so in UT instead.
If you have any questions about a deleted account of yours, please read the FAQ section below before you contact Swirve and/or post a thread.

Rules:
*****

Here is a simplified version of the official rules, including some of the common violations (though not necessarily every violation). This is by no means a replacement for the official rules however. You should read through the official version at least once, and you are expected to do so. Ignorance of the rules is no excuse.

Don't...
* ...sign up using false information
* ...play a province that you didn't create yourself
* ...log in using another persons account
* ...use scripts or programs that access the Utopia servers
* ...use profanity or insult other users
* ...run more than one province on any server (you may have one on *either* WoL or BF, not both, and a 2nd province on Genesis)
* ...delete and (re)create provinces to land in a specific kingdom, manually or with the help of scripts
* ...deliberately abuse bugs (to gain an advantage)
* ...impersonate Swirve in any way, ask others for account information and/or steal an account
* ...encourage or help anyone else to do any of the above

In addition, abusing features in certain ways is not allowed, even though it might not be a bug as such. An example would be entire kingdoms naming provinces in a similar manner, such as "Il11lI", "Il1l11" and so on. Any such abuse can result in removal or suspension, judged on a case to case basis. If you have to ask yourself if something is allowed, then assume it's not.

If your account is deleted:
*********************

Before you start, make sure that your account has actually been deleted. If it is, you will see a page clearly stating so ("Alas, your province has been deleted for violations of Utopia rules..."). If you see a page stating you provided an incorrect username/password or that you didn't provide a username, there is another problem (for example, the last one is due to cookies. Enable cookies in your browser and it should work just fine).

1) First of all, if you did anything against the rules, don't bother. For whatever reason, you broke the rules and got deleted for it. You will not be reinstated, regardless of how unfair you think the rules are. You shouldn't have agreed to follow them (twice) if you never intended to.

2) If you believe you did nothing wrong, read through the rules carefully once more. Chances are you might've missed something (for example, incorrect information when you created your account is common. The "spirit of the game" section is also a possibility).

3) If you still believe you did nothing wrong, you might have a case. Think carefully about anything that could've made it look like you broke the rules (others playing from your computer, logging in while on vacation etc.). If you come up with anything at all, write it down (you should include it in the e-mail mentioned later).

4) Write down any and all information about the account you can think of (real name, country, zip code etc.). If you provided correct information, it should be an easy task. If you didn't, you might've been deleted for that very reason. Visit the account creation screen if you can't remember all the information you were asked for. All of the information will not be necessary, but more information can increase your credibility.

5) Make sure you have included your username (as well as password and e-mail) with the rest of your information. The username is how Swirve identify you, and you cannot be reinstated if they don't know who you are.

6) Send a *polite* e-mail to games@corp.swirve.com. Don't ask anyone else to do it for you. Include all the information you gathered earlier (see #4 & #5) and mention any events that might look suspicious (see #3).

7) All you can do now is wait. Sending several e-mails will only make Swirve ignore you, and you won't be reinstated regardless of whether you are innocent or not. Check your own e-mail once in a while for replies. If you receive no reply, chances are your request was denied. If you absolutely have to send another e-mail, try to wait at least a few days.
Keep in mind that Swirve can receive rather large volumes of e-mails at times, and yours might not be on top of the list. Don't assume that you will receive a reply sooner than a few days after it was sent.

All of these steps are not strictly required (Swirve have logs and can find out a lot themselves), but they will certainly not hurt and might increase your chances of being reinstated. Good luck.

Frequently Asked Questions:
***********************

Note: The following section is subject to updates as more questions and answers are available. If you have anything to add to this section, please use the mod thread in B&S and it will be taken care of as soon as possible.

Q: I deleted my account or was deleted from the game. I started a legit account, but I was deleted again. Why?

A: Most likely because you created your account too soon after the first one was deleted. Wait at least 24 hours before creating a new one. 48-72 hours if you want to be safe. This time is required for the server to "forget" your previous account and creating an account before could make it look like you have multiple provinces.

Q: Me and my [relative/friend] play from the same computer. We were both deleted even though none of us broke the rules. Are you allowed to have several users on the same computer, and if so, why were we deleted?

A: Yes, you are allowed to play from the same computer as someone else. Several users are currently doing so without problems. Most likely, you two did something suspicious or the other person broke the rules in some way.
To avoid being deleted: Don't cheat, don't lie and don't play from the same computer as someone who cheat or lie. It might also be a good idea to avoid interacting with each other (attacking/stealing etc. from each other or the same target) and logging in right after each other, as that will draw attention. Also, don't try to hide the fact that there are several users on the same computer (deleting cookies etc.). If you look like you're trying to hide something, chances are that you are.

Q: I can't find my account after the new age started, but I did nothing wrong and selected the "Stay with kingdom" option. Why was I deleted?

A: You were not necessarily deleted. First of all, check both the WoL and BF server. Perhaps your kingdom was moved to the other server. Second, check your e-mail. Usernames can sometimes overlap each other and they are therefore changed. If your username was changed, you should receive an e-mail about it. If you don't, make sure it was not filtered out as spam by any anti-spam protection your e-mail have.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
