Liku most likely ment that he loves researching WWII and finding out information about it, much like myself. This vast picture archive will be excellent for just that purpose, plus people who see these images will learn just how terrible war is, and hopefully they will try and prevent it from occuring again.

Yes, and there were only a few real nazi's, and they didn't do anything BAD, it was just Hitler and normal warfare.

The difference is 14 years between when it started and when Hitler brought it to power.

Yeah, they didn't do anything bad, they just fought on the side that was for exterminating a race of people. No biggie.

Ryo, you know that's not true. War is one of those things that will keep on happening, the roles and the causes behind it are just changed.

Let's not start an argument about the reasons a sane German man would become a Nazi. There are numerous, perfectly logical reasons that place the blame on the conqueroring countries during WWI, rather than each individual.

OK, if I have to explain this one more time, I'm going to kill myself. What you label "Nazis" are completely inacurate, Nazis were a political party who ordered the..."unpleasentness" while what you label them as are German soldiers who have no other choice but to carry out their wishes.

Guys lets get somthing striaght before this gets out of control! The german armed forces WERE NOT NAZIS! The were guys doing a job that their government told them to do just like our guys had to do.

The REAL bad guys were the governmet officals the Gestapo and the SS regiments.

Think before you speak and get some book learnin!

    Of course.

The civil war? About control. The slaves were just something so that people would root for the North, they still considered whites to be superior.

But, still, it doesn't matter who you are, it matters what you do. And the german forces, like it or not, fought for the side that built concentration camps. It makes no difference whether they knew it or not.

    teh wrawng.

the civil war was fought because the north (via abe linky) was going to dissolve their primary means of income: cotton.

in the north, wheat was harvested using reapers. these machines that did what was originally days of work, in just hours.

in the south, even with the advent of eli whitney's cotton gin, the process of picking (not sifting) cotton from the plant was as laborious as it had ever been. nothing had changed. they NEEDED the permanent labor force to power what was virtually their ONLY presence in the economy of the united states.

    money. not control.

Don't be so bloody ignorant mate, you think the Brit or the Yank armed forces and government were saints? Hitler was evil but Stalin was the devil himself an WE were allied with him.

Use search in discussion and feel free to relieve the topic, I already contributed my points in it. As for this one, the site is interesting, but I fear the thread is beyond repair.
