i had this problem back in 1.04 when i was running xp also, and i couldnt find a solution. to fix it, i started running windows 2000, problem solved. now, becuase of problems in windows 2k, ive switched back to xp. i still have the laggy keyboard mouse problem as before back in 1.04. the game visually doesnt lag, but the keyboard and mouse dont respond for a second or two in game.

i use the following:
logitech mx700 (cordless optical)
microsoft multimedia natural keyboard
radeon 9500 pro
amd xp 2400+

if anyone has any possible solutions, i would be very very happy.

EDIT:in game ive tried different resolutions from 800x600 to 1280x1024 and only 16bit color

EDIT2: THANK YOU VERY MUCY WEY!!!! the game isnt laggy, its a tad jumpy now, but i think the problem is solved. lol, my ping dropped from 220 to 70, thanks a bunch!

Tassadar had the same problem some days ago. The only solution he found was to lower the hl.exe priority in Windows. You may try this.

<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->If i switch the priority higher than "normal" the problem is getting bigger, but if i switch the priority lesser than "normal" the problem disappears and i dont know why.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Are the devices in question USB based? If so, the computer could be turning the power to the devices down to save electricity, resulting in a brief ammount of lag when they power up.

i thought the problem may be usb related but its not, my mouse is usb, and cordless, but mouse and keyboard lag just as much. my keyboard is a regualr ps2 one, natural multimedia, but a regualr ps2, and it still lags.

ill look into the priority thing, thanks.
