    Actually, with all that blood on the walls, it looks like this skulk just ran right at the marines, bullets piercing the organic skin and green blood splattering against the wall, however the skulk does not give up and the Hivemind infuses it with the ability to regain it's lost fluids and rebuild it's broken bones, and it follows Her commands to cleanse the intruders.

    Sorry, I just like this pic <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Alright!

    My first pic in here. I got this pic by complete accident. Also note, I did not edit this pic in ANY way. I did not have to edit out any HUD. 100% natural NS Baby!

    Next, my pic is basically some good ole lerk vs. jetpack showdown, with the lerk having to decide on which target he is going to have to attack, or will he just run for his life?

    Furthermore, the side effect just adds to the coolness of the pic.

    Be as critical on this piece as you want. Enjoy!

    forlorn - That's cool. I like the scope of the picture, forlorn.. Big ones are always better. Neat how the Marines are so far apart but both in the pic and both looking at the lerk.

    Kyliegirl - I think you have a skulk fetish. I like your pic, though, because it looks like the skulk is beholding the dying hive in disbelief. 'How could this happen' sort of expression.

    Ok well, i went on a little photo expedition recently, and i took kindly to the expression on this cornered skulk's face. Look at the snarl. It really looks like a cornered animal would. I really like this one.

    Well heres my first attempt at capturing a good combat photograph:

    I really like this one although the stomp effects is a bit pixellated <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> the picture can also be brighter too <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> I'll try to do better next time but for now enjoy.

    I wish there was a way to remove the hud, as well as the V_models so that I could take some really cool pictures without having to edit them in Adobe Photoshop.

    there is a VERY easy way to remove the HUd icons and models. Download the photographer's toolkit. It's posted earlier in this thread.

    Heres more from me:

    Another Onos Stomp picture:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS001.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Nice pose by both the Fade and the HA:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS002.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    This is what I call teamwork:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS003.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Two Marines having their way with the hive:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS004.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    The combat photographer who captured this shot unfortunately did not survive the ambush and his photos were later on found by reinforcements forces:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS005.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    Another photo taken by the same photographer as the last photo. I love the angle on this shot, it really gives looks like the photographer is hiding behind the corner while he was taking this shot:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS006.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    LA Marine defends the base from a charging Onos:

    <img src='http://members.lycos.co.uk/fyrexia/NS007.gif' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    A squad of LA Marines with a combat photographer closely behind them takes on the hive with shotguns. Unfortunately, they did not see a skulk was charging at them from below the ramp and one of the LA Marines died:

    Nice shots pyrotechnic! Just 2 things

    1: How do you post more than one picture per post? I have NEVER been able to figure that one out <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    2) I think that Foxtrot will go along with those custom models... not too sure tho (they look mainly like white reskins am I right?)

    Just watch out for the model nazi <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    *j/k foxtrot!*

    Ya know... I really should whip out my camera again... I have yet to go through that darn demo..

    Glad you guys liked all my shots. I'll definately post more later on.

    <b>Jean Luc Picard</b>

    Yes I'm quite aware about the custom model problem (I've actually read the guidelines before posting any of my photos <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) but the way I see it, the white LA marines in my photos are just reskins and it doesn't really take away the NS feeling at all. Think of them as another squadron from TSA or something <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> .

    About the more than one picture per post thing, ya I hosted my own pictures (never did figure out how to work the attachment thing, it doesn't work for me for some weird reason <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> )

    I didn't really think the one-armed pushup picture was goofy... but in the same spirit as some of the other pictures without action. In this case, it feels like training during the off hours. Not currently on guard duty, one of the slow moments, get some exercise in.

    Personally, I don't know what to think about the white reskin... they feel somewhat out of place, but yet, aren't too different to be unrecognisable. Fortunately, the photos are of sufficiant quality that I'd personally let them pass judgement.

    Foxtrot, you got me into this. It's quite fun to select amongst 20 screencaps to finally retain only one. Hencefoth, I present my first piece... not much I know. Still only a "Marine killing a skulk"... but I tried to take a good one.

    Comments welcome.

    How I took my pics : I went into combat games, went alien and roamed the map as a cloacked alien (and recorded a demo in case of "dangIshouldhavescreencappedthat" moment). Binding the screenshots to mousewheel is really good too. That's how this pic came to be. The fraction of second before that... and it was a really bad picture.

    P.S. I'm french, so I'm sorry if there is a lot of grammar errors.

    -edit- Also, I would like to know if what is the better way to remove hud stuff as an alien. Especially the hivesight. It can be frustrating to have a good picture ruined by the appearance of a "XXX is under attack at LOCATION" message.

    -edit2-
    Just read Foxtrot post about the photographer toolkit.

    On this one here... I was sure I could get something good out of it... so here I give you 3 different crop of one same shot. I think the second is the best, and if a good number of people agrees with me, I'll probably only keep that one.

    Secondly, I know that this shot and the last one (see last post on page 30) shows the marine in the same position, but it is only because those were the only pictures that were presentable from the set (or the most "dramatic" feel to it and not a "game" feel). Two shots out of 35 screencaps... not that bad.
