Generally speaking, GREAT!
I love the new lerk. It's extremely deadly if you know how to use it. I find myself never using fade and onos because the lerk is such a great class for killing. The marines can never seem to hit me, and they die in seconds. However, the third person lerk view when gliding sucks, as the wings are down. That's a small shortcoming. This greatly improved lerk rocks.

The bug/visual fixes are great. I enjoy not having my game crash on map changes, and the many visual fixes are great! The little minimap addons for HA and FOV are great too. (allthough I'm not crazy about how the minimap's vertically squished.)

I like the balance changes as well, it gives marines a much greater chance of winning in situations where they could not previously. Also, the fixed hitboxes are definitely a plus.

There are alot more reasons why I love the patch, but I can't think of them all right now.

Here's the other side of the story. Now more servers than not are running combat maps most of the time. I hate combat. If I wanted that style of DM play, I'd just play counter-strike or something similar. It's not really natural selection, but this is a server choice, so it's not really the NS team that caused this issue.

The other issue is the individual scores/frags (yes, i said frags) issue, which I made another thread about. This is along the same lines of combat. NS is getting fixed up nicely, but losing the uniqueness that made it the best mod ever.

Hmm about frags and death thing. Where you ever able to see both marines and aliens kill-death numbers? My friend wasn't able too, but he looked at my screen once while i pressed tab and he noticed I can see all of the scores.

Well, a lot of people like the new lerk, . I'm not one of those,

There should be an option to choose if you want to use the old flight or the new flight.

About the minimap being squished: Are you sure you're not using an odd resolution? You know, besides the staple 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1600x1200 (Yes, NS supports that high. And yes.. it's gorgeous.), etc.?

I agree with combat. I had to play it for months on end with no breaks. Pulse was THE most played map. I can pop out of nowhere and chomp yer **** off before ya know what's happ'nin.. But faceoff is so much more fun sometimes..

    Anyway.

As for the scoreboard: If you are on a team, you can see that teams' kills, deaths, and "score" (Which is calculated by kills, weighted by what you killed, building structures/hives, and killing structures).

You Can see the same for the opposing team EXCEPT the score. So a 0 kill marine (Or a 5-6 kill marine) at the top of the marine list is most likely the commander, since structures placed by the commander give points to him.

If you are a spectator or a person in the readyroom, you can see all scores/kills/deaths.
