I have to say, looking around at the screenshots, it looks crap. I don't even think there's any of the original cast in it.

So yeah, you've all probably discussed this in depth but I haven't heard anything about it till i read that a new starship troopers game is being made to go with the release of a sequel.

When i first searched for it, the little subheading told me i needed an updated IE. But it worked fine for me. trust me, it's there.

WoW! It looks absolutly craptacular! An amazingly only has one orginal cast member who's charachter was killed in the first film! Great start, I will definately be giving this one a miss.

EDIT: Dear god jus looking at the images a bit further it looks like the biggest Aliens rip off in history!

Is it just me or none of those rifles look realistic/sci-fi but rather very plastic/boring/funny? Not to mention that the scenes look rather bleak (at least those screenshots).

There is a game comming with it to.

Lets just say the game sounds nice, 400 bugs on the screen at once, and when its finished hopefully a lot more.

Small teams of marines Vs HORDES of bugs, sounds fun but will it last?

Good god, Its as if I fell through the floor of the septic tank that was the first Starship Troopers movie, into a mountain of fecal matter so large even the bug horde couldnt clean up.

I recently re-read the book, and I must say, Its amazing the way Holywood routinely defecates on the graves of people with actual talent.

I think it doesn't look too bad. The guns might look plastic, but this doesn't matter that much. I am looking forward to it, and if there is another trailer that pleases me I'll most likely buy it.

HMmm.

But hey, how doesn't like mankind beating down aliens? Granted, hollywood will probably screw up on it, but it'll be nice to watch if only for the explosions and SFX (which we all know hollywood does best. take something craptacular and make it look craptacular <i>with <b>ductape!!1!</b></i> <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /> )

chances are it wont even be comming out, if it does it will be "over the internet deal" with home cameras and drawn in special affects. the bugs most likely will be cartoon orsome huge suit with some guy in it with some googly eyes of each side of the mouth. and when they SST's shoot there wont be any muzzleflash just a "sound" in the backround. the guys dying will be horrible. despite the fact 1/2 of them wont even be shown (just a scream and then a dead body or something). dont count on amazing acting either. looks like something alittle better then a film done in my film class. i actually want to see it for myself before i criticize tho. but im still looknig foward to the "huge battle scenes" with little action figures of those aliens the size of hot wheels cars and the soldiers the small green army men painted the colors of sst in a andbox or desert floor. and i bet they forget to take out the hands moving the guys. and hey, arent those pics of the "bugs" cut and pasted in those scenes from the original movie? lol

EDIT: yes this post is extremly exxagurated and that word is spelt wrong too

and i want that first pic of that guy with the beard with that angry face like someone took his cookies. id prob get sewed tho <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' />
