Combat: Changing Teams.

Considering the leveling system is more or less symmetric atm for aliens and marines, it would be nice if you were refunded your points if you had to switch teams instead of having to begin at level 1 all over.

    nah, i dont think so

if you chose the wrong team, and want to change, its your own fault :/

trading points n stuff would be a bit unfair

loosing, quickly change team and own O_o

I can imagine a range of perfectly valid reasons for wanting to change teams in the middle of a match (most notably unbalanced teamsizes) - personally, it seems to be a good idea to me.

I've thought of this before and its still a good idea.

Yeah, changing teams while preserving all levels would really help balance the teams out as a game progresses IMO.

Also, is the allowed team imbalance server set or coded in? It seems most i've played on let one team have 2 more players, which on a small server can mean the game is sealed right from the start. Can that be hardcoded down to 1?

What if I am l10 and have spent all my points and hit f4, rejoin the team I was on?
Kind of like Hambone mode does, except it would be an exploit, of course...
So figure out a way to preserve it(like resources do if you get disconnected) for whichever team you were on, and sure thing.

    It does preserve it, rejoice!
