Anyone Else Having Trouble With The Forums?

<div class="IPBDescription">firebird</div> okies... ever since the board got back up I've noticed a few oddities but checking with IE they don't show up, so I'm starting to think it's something to do with firebird =o

Most current example is eediot's ideal game thread. It says it has 23 posts and that I've posted there but on firebird I can only see 16 of them and none of them are mine. Somehow the 7 invisible posts show up along with my 2 posts amongst them when I check with IE though ^^;

    =]

    Uhmmm sounds like firebird, yeah

    Maybe check your cache, etc. If its a consistent problem, and occurs on other sites/forums as well, try mucking around with it. Like, clear cache, [have you tried restarting? Its ridiculous how much this can solve], check for any firebird updates, have you changed anything on your computer?

    Try reinstalling firebird

    By the way, thanks for posting in the thread. Yours was the most ideal post so far <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> Got a lot of information out of you, hehe, and I've already changed some ideas because of you hehe

    ooh! thankies ^^

    as for firebird... still no luck -.-
    no new updates I can find, clearing the cache didn't work and assuming you meant restarting the browser (instead of my silly PC =3 ) that didn't change it either =/

    It seems to be that the missing posts are between nil IQ's last post in the thread and the 2nd double post from codeman. The only sign that something out of the ordinary is going on there (other than the lack of posts =P ) is that his sig is all mucked up.

    <b>oop edit:</b> by 'his' I mean Nil IQ's ^^;

    Does that problem specifically only occur in eediots thread, or also in others?

    there's also the first page of the 'your porn name' thread too =o

    check it out... <a href='http://www.photocountry.com/viewphoto.asp?UserId=12368&Photo=weirdbuggyforum' target='_blank'>eep!</a>
    I doubt you'd quote yourself and say something like that nem, but the main givaway is your sig having it's own kinda weird post space ^^;

    Haven't really noticed any other problems but I've not checked tons of posts... they seem to all go wonky around sigs though so I might try turning off people's sigs or something to see if that fixes it =P

    <b>update:</b> yup... turning off sigs fixes it. Must be some oddity in the sig code that doesn't agree with Firebird o.O

    <b>gah update:</b> okies... found another muck up, this time in the tombstone thread but with sigs off. I think the quote tags broke it somehow -.-
    it's the 3rd page for me, moq's post where he quotes 'how would you get that engraved?' and stuff.

    There seems to be a problem when there is a quote within a quote. The text after it gets pushed into a box below the person's avatar.

    I noticed similar problems on several discussion threads. They did seem sig related... Since this kind of stuff never happened on the old forum, and it took so long to get reported, I figure it must be a problem with the board's code not being compliant, either that or a bug in mozilla. Konquerer on linux seems to handle it fine, I don't have opera so I can't check that.
