related to internet connections and webs
I am totally dumbfounded to what this parapgraph means from an email I got from the company that runs server of the website that I am in charge. Can anyone else figure what did the guy meant? This is just the extract of what was most confusing.
Note that "Easynet" is the name of he company
"Easynet are slowly unbunderling the local Loop (LLU) the exchange that you would connect to with Easynet is Enabled with our own kit which means we can offer you symmetrical DSL as well as our new and unique Sure Stream service which has the same stability as a leased line, with no contention at a fraction of the cost. So if you guys have 2 meg leased line for access today we could cut your costs dramaticly."
Could anyone give some thoughts please? thanks

i take it english isn't the native language of the.. company?
it sounds like easynet is unbundling (?) the local loop (?)
and they have a new service (sure stream) which is similar to the leased line (?)
and is also cheaper.
so if you have the 2meg leased line, they're offering the sure stream line at a lower cost.
i think.
Symmetric DSL is a connection that is the same speed inbound and outbound. With ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) the inbound and outbound speeds are different, hence asymmetric.
So if you get a 2mbit DSL line it will be 2mbit in and out, whereas a 2mbit ADSL line would be 2mbit in, but something like 512kbit out.
As to the contention ratio. If you have ADSL, possibly DSL too, i'm not sure, there's a thing known as a contention ratio. Basically, this is how many people you share your line with. Generally it doesn't affect speeds too noticeably, but it does affect them. For most home ADSL users, they'll have a contention ratio of about 50:1, but for low priced business lines, they'll get something like 20:1. If you have a leased line, that means you share with no-one at all. It's your line, you use it.
Hope that explains it a bit.
"As for Easynet slow the local loop (LLU), the exchange unbunderling which you average as the leased circuit the competition which is the same stability us become new, being unique, similar to secure flow service, in our itself kits and Easynet which can be offered to us symmetrical DSL, at one part of cost possible and connect. So when today it possesses the leased circuit of 2 megaohms for human access, we dramaticly may reduce your cost."
Here's a networking solution that will only work with our proprietary software and hardware, and will not work with anything else.
