<div class="IPBDescription">A simple discussion</div>I wasn't sure what to do with this topic, so I threw it in OT. Though version 1 is still in works, though seemingly close to being finished, I was curious to know what sort of ideas are planned/desired/up-in-the-air for v2.
By now we should all have a really good idea about what is and isn't in V1, so any comments on V2?

Also, can aliens open doors?
I'm not trying to bug the Dev team, just wondering what people have been thinking about it. Didn't I hear something about a marine ability something along the lines of beserker rush? Tweaked for balance of course.

Exactly what were the un-serious ones?
Maybe fades should have the ability to pick a location and then teleport there (a bit like UT's teleporter). Obviously the location is reset when he dies so he cant just jump into the fray. Itd be more useful for returning safely to an area and maybe take more energy than normal teleports.
common, you gotta a bunch a marines running around who need to EAT, POOP, and freshan up every now and then... pooping in a john will give you like an instant 50 health, and then if the aliens attack the john, it "flips over" and and....
ok, nevermind, maybe Ill just map a bathroom and a caffeteria...
@toppic i think it would be interesting if we had tanks for outside levels, maybe a few more alien tyoes (meaning sth. like different races, that evolve different, which would be cool also). but that would take even longer than v1 did, since you have to create a better physiks engine for cars, and outside levels cant be too big because hl has a not good enough engine <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
Mmm...maybe those marines could reproduce in the same way? Of course they wouldn`t use alien queens but human sex slaves.
Perhaps not on v2, but somewhere down the line a third race sounds good- but it'd resemble SC and AvP all the more.
Suddenly I get this happy vision of 4 marines welding a small mech together... oooo. I can just see the balance issues =P
Alot of mods have started to use this system and it works great if you ask me, adds alot of effect to the gameplay.
The first mod i've seen to use it was FLF and it still works nice.
For those of you who dont know what im talking about, here's an example.
