Ns 2x/3.0 Video Release

<div class="IPBDescription">Its finally done :D</div> After a few weeks of work its here. My mainly NS 2x frag video, it does feature some map previews and combat (3.0 footage that was taken at 3.0f).

I would like to say thanks to all those that sent in demos even though I didnt get very many.

I am getting a bit of crackling in the audio in a couple of scenes I think its just my sound card playing up again, if its not im going to post a higher quality re-rendered version probally next week.

**I have been told the crackling is not just occuring on my computer so I will do a re encoded version and also bittorrent it etc next week*


**Note* * Due to microsoft been microsoft make sure you right click the link and save as not just click it else it will open windows media player and attempt to download it which will cause all sorts of problems.

I do like how the video turned out and its been quite fun to make it, as a result I will make a new video for NS3.0 later this year most likely. I do think that a couple of the transitions are a bit ott and might be removed in a second version, in the opening sequence I will also change an to a (forgot to correct it).

    Duuude, get VirtualDub and compress. It can be fitted to 10MB

    EDIT: You need to find a tut to convert WMA9 since they made it copyrighted

    I have used virtualdub in the past. For the ammount of motion in that video it is very good quality for its size. I dont think 10mb for 7 minutes is gunna get very far. I have not enabled protection on my video so dont worry about it been copyrighted.

    No offense, but this is one of the worst skills videos I've ever seen. Let me list some of the things wrong... You need higher brightness, in lots of the shots we couldn't see anything. You need to remove the HUD if you're making a movie. Especially when you were speccing the 3.0 maps, you had a crosshair in the middle of the screen. Stuff like that gives a movie a very unprofessional feel. No shots that were even worth putting in a movie, honestly I didn't really see anything that can be considered skill in the entire movie. hud_fastswitch 0? =| No a/v sync. It seems simple but it adds a ton to a movie to have the song kick **** right as you do something sweet. Also, usually you want to use a hard rock song for an avi because it just gets you pumped up <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Shrug, I'm sure theres more than that, but not bad for a first avi and for NS. NS isn't really a good mod to make movies for.

    To anyone reading this: I wouldn't suggest downloading it.     Quake done quick is equally pwn IMO.     Its not not perticually a skills video, more of a general frag video. I do have fastswitch set to 1 but for some unknown reason when playing demos it shows the weapon. As for 3.0 you can not hide the spec bar.


    I didnt have much footage to work from but I have done my best, you are right in saying NS is a hard mod to do it for (I aint seen another video avalible).


    I reccommend <a href='http://www.own-age.com/' target='_blank'>http://www.own-age.com/</a> for frag videos.


    It is a dark video but alot of NS was meant to be quite dark, even by my monitor its not very dark though.

    I'm currently doing a movie by my own, gonna dl urs when I got the bandwidth to do so.
