<div class="IPBDescription">How soon do you expect to rerlease it?</div> <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo--> Just an approximate idea of how much more work needs to go into 3.0 would be great. I just want a general idea of when we can expect it.
Thanks!
PS- Please don't give me a "when it's ready" answer. I want a real answer!

And that's the official release date from the devteam, believe it or not. Do not ask for an exact release date - you'll only annoy the community. The NS team does not make exact release dates unless they are 100% sure they can commit to them.
As for general release dats, well, the sdevtram thought they could release 3.0 during this holiday season. They were not able to for a number of reasons. As of now, we've had ten or more posts that are some take on "U SAID NS3.0 WIL BE HOIDAY SESUN!11 GIVE ME TEH NS!!!!11" which have all been locked for reasons I shouldn't need to get into. Simply put, we probally won't get a general estimate either - because certain fans can't accept it for what it is, which is an estimate.
And I believe that is the official status of 3.0.
Maybe they could give a completion percentage?
[edit] And to top it all off, my scary monkey icon is kinda distorted.
Make sure you set the size of your avatar right in the section where you told the forums where the monkeh is. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
1. It is an immature response and degrades the person who submits what is actually a perfectly reasonable question given the circumstances.
2. It is nearly always used by people who either have the benefit of participating in the beta testing or people who wish to pretend that a flippent comment can hide their noobish general lack of information. Either way - such people have very little consideration for the rest of the community - which suffers in the time leading up to a new version release.

It is also used by people who do not want to be overwhelmed with posts by self-centered, impatient, instant gratification addicted, people who would only use a release date to scream "OMG it's not out, the dev team lied!!!"
"When it is done" is the best answer you are going to get.
THE RELEASE IS JANUARY THE THIRTY NINTH.

viva la resistance!</span>
Game development offers just too many incalculable factors - from suddenly occuring bugs, something the 3.0 playtests have experienced in abundance, to suddenly arising balance issues and general gameplay inconsitencies, two things we did thank god not face to the extent of, say, the 1.0 tests - to calculate any more specific date. It's a prime example of the Chaos Theory, really: A spare semicolon can under the right circumstances prolong the testing process by a good two weeks.
With this, <span style='color:red'>***locked***</span>, because there are just too many of these topics around.
