no no its like.. ok
they are retailers... and they give out invoices and receipts... its like.. its hard to explain ... its called a pc fayre.. but its really lots of cheap shops all in one big place...
and my mobo isnt an n87 thing :S i was being dumb
it is
asus a7v266 Socket A mobo with VT866 chipset
a CD-RW wouldnt be a bad purchase, or even a DVD-RW, they should be around $120(dont know the conversion).
If you want to play HL2 or DOOM3, you may want to look into saving up and getting a Radeon 9800 or the like.
you could pick up a SB Audigy for around $65 also if you want better sound
(the XT hates my mobo)
Also, a good set of speakers will improve your sound so much, and paired with either an Audigy or a SB Live! 128 (Retails at around £29.99 or so) will make you wonder how you survived without them. For the speakers i'd wholeheartedly recommend Creative's line, the Cambridge Soundworks ones, they're relatively cheap, and for the price, they offer great quality.
Just do be paranoid, as Max is, the returns can be quite shifty / non-existant with computer fairs, do make sure you ask them about their returns policies and such before laying down your money.
ok well my radeon 9600 pro is here! and setup... but ! i cant get to the shaders stuff? does that come witht he software? or do i gotta install it ontop? if so where do i get it?
