<div class="IPBDescription">A person's life is shattered</div>why? why would someone throw her life away? Jen, A very dear friend of mine, has become a cocaine addict... it drove her to go AWOL from the navy, destroyed her relationship with her girlfriend, and took away all her money. all this happened in one month from when I saw Jen on shore leave... I'm so worried about her, She needs money, but because of her addiction, I'm afraid that paying for her rent will give her an opportunity to slip back... If I could be there with Jen to help her through these troubled times... but I cannot, because she lives on the west coast and I am on the east. I just don't know what to do to help her besides be her friend, so I'm casting my worries to the anonymity of the 'net...

    Sorry to hear that Bio...

The only advice I have is to wait.  Anything else is pointless.  The only person who can get her out of that situtation is she alone.  When she decides that it's no longer worth the trouble, she will remove herself from that lifestyle.

    Good luck.

im so sorry to hear this. I think the best thing you can do for her is just be there when she needs you, being her friend and support her. Cocaine is just such a bad drugs, in the friends circle i have, almost halve got addicted to cocaine and heroine...

If she's (or was) in the navy she should've been thaught discipline so she can hang on to that, and as said just be there when she needs you, and i would pay her rent actually, she needs  a place to live, making her live worse will only push her to the drugs.
