    Softwaremode has been dropped entirely. I'm not sure what you're asking in the other question.

    Previous weapons, usually bind it to q, and you can switch to your last used weapon quickly, I was unaware of any bug with this however. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    There was a selection lag bug for awhile in the beta, but it has since been fixed. I'm unaware of any weapon selection problems in 2.0 however. Could you be more specific?

    Hijack:

    Is cloaking 100%? It should be, as it depends on your monitor and gamma if you can see the cloaked player or not. This puts people in to different positions and is unfair.

    So 100% all the way <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Depends on the cloak. Level 3 personal cloaking upgrade will render you 100% cloaked, and you can walk cloaked.

    However if your only cloaked by a sensory chamber, it's not 100%. Something like 95%-99% So if your a good player, you can still see them.

    Like I said, it's not about if you are a good player, but what are your settings and your monitor. For example my brother can see all cloaked Kharaa very clearly and he hasn't even changed his settings to get any advantage. And when I play there as a marine, I just think how much it sucks to know where that poor Gorge hides, because I'm not SUPPOSED to know it. It ruins the game(well not completely)

    So I'll just walk by and ignore them <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    No - cloaking has been 90% (ish) for some time. The difference in the different levels is the time to cloak.

    In 2.0 its not that bad. It realy sucked in 1.04. Cloaking was like 80% or something.

    I was under the impression that cloak was 100, however you couldn't move with it in 1.04.

    Anyone who can "easily" see cloaked aliens is messing around with gamma settings or using cheats. I've walked right in front of people as a cloaked onos and they didn't spot me.

    I'm with Bizzy.

    But what I do is sit still and stand on guard, and if I don't move, I can see the cloaked aliens moving.

    IIRC, in 1.04 lv.1 cloack had a ~50% transparency, lv.2 75%, lv.3 100%. And you could not move one bit without saying goodbye to invisibility, but SC was pretty much screwed then anyway.

    It was 100% but if you moved you were seen, due to uncloak.
