<div class="IPBDescription">can't get sky texture i want</div> ok first of all my sky works in the map
the only problem is it shows some desert one from half life instead of the NS lost sky
now i understand the directory you need to put the skies in is:
/half-life/ns/gfx/env/
is that correct?
And in worldcraft/VHE you goto the map menu and then map properties to set the sky
in the box environment map (cl_skyname)
I have: lost
for the NS sky lost obviously
now when I'm in the game the sky DOES NOT show the lost sky but the desert one! why is that?!
As far as i'm aware you don't need to put cl in front of the sky name. that correct?
(BTW i checked the newbie mapping forum b4 posting and I searched under skies before posting)
Thanks for any help i receive

"Motivation, such an aggravation, accussations, don't know how to take them, inspiration-" Sorry. I do that from time to time, it's my rocker side coming out, please forgive.
Also, on topic, a quick way to know what the exact sky name of any set of sky textures is...
lost_ft
lost_bk
lost_rt
lost_lf
lost_dn
and lost_up are the names of the TGAs and BMPs you have. they stand for, Front (ft), Back (bk), Right (rt), Left (lf), Down (dn) and Up (up)
Simply drop any of these two letters to obtain the name that you need to type into cl_skyname's box.
So a sky called boojumsnarkft would be "boojumsnark" in cl_skyname. or mendasp_ft would be "meandasp_"
