Random Story About Girls

A very, very interesting story...
Ok, so here it is:

It all starts with a girl. I happen to like this particular girl. However, this is not an angst thread, so it is alright for you to continue reading. So this is the deal: I had written this love poem that was kind of random and posted it on my profile on IM. As it happened, all these people were reading it and they thought I was talking about someone in particular, even though I wasn't.

Nonetheless once girls start guessing, wondering, THEY DON'T STOP. Although I must say it was unnerving to have the girl you like ask you which girl you like, I was very prepared to hold out and not mutter a word.

Enter my friend, the super-cynical sarcasitc **** at Columbia University. For some reason, he feels its a good idea to mess with the heads of High School Seniors. Let's see...to make the story short, the next time she asked me, I said "It's you" and proceeded to say some pretty stupid and incoherent crap afterward, when she asked me why. Exactly what I said is irrelevant, I'm not likely to say anyhow. It is safe to say that I was a jerk/a$$/b*st*rd.

So I assumed that this friend who shall remain nameless from Columbia told the girl the details after I went to sleep, but this not so. I told her I was sorry and all that, and was going to tell her about the Columbian student. That didn't happen. I was going to tell her depending on her reaction, but for some reason she wouldn't tell me what she really thought.

Enter her best friend, who tells me that she doesn't think I'm a jerk/a$$/b*st*rd, and also that she is sad we don't talk in person much. Now all these communications went on through IM (If you haven't figured out).

So it boils down to this. Should I tell her about the Columbian (he is known to us both), or should I not, and if either, exactly how should I proceed.

All my friends are incapable of giving me sound advice (The poopy-heads!!)

Let me get this straight you told a senor that you liked her even though it wasn't true and you really like some classmate of yours? I don't really know what to do, but I always like to tell the truth. Stops lies and makes it so you don't have to remember anything.

Of course my advice to always tell the truth comes from someone who's never had a relationship in his life and on top of that I'm only 15. So take my advice or leave it.

I ought to make a habit of using the following answer to any threads of this type:

    "Point her to this thread."

Am I wrong when I say that it would make 95% or more of situations like these easier to solve? (Sure, you may not always get the desired outcome, but that risk is the tradeoff of honesty and simplicity)

obviously zooby is a pretty attractive guy to get that question. yes, relsan.

but it doesn't mean you're gonna get action the instant a girl asks you that question.

Exactly always flatter(sp?). But thats the only thing you can lie about. Other than that your screwed if you ever lie.

Funny story I once said that a girl wasn't that fat and she was mad at me for like 3 days. And thats not very long for someone to be mad at you. Sometimes learning from experience is worse than it sounds.

Go for honesty, but perhaps the sweetened "I care about you and that makes me do stupid things" variety.

    On topic:

Like everyone (well 50 percent and above) says, the best course of action is to talk to her face-to-face, explain with brute honesty what exactly happened that night, talk about other stuff-like brush up on some interesting things, and get in her panties (well not that).

    Or

    just explain over internet.

Anyways, what did the Columbian do? Fake your identity and tell her she was a *****?

    Off topic:

Since this is a girl's thread, I would like to explain my current status on this chick I dig. She is really hot, and seems to be really intelligent, there have been a couple signs here and there, but deam it, how the hell do you get people like her out of your mind? I am a low confidence guy, so talking to her is out of question, and I think she is out of my league, etc, so the question is: how do I get her out of my head?

Either through sheer force of will, stop thinking about her and dwell on other things, or go for the gusto, build a friendship with her and see where things end up going.

So true. I've been wanting to date this one girl since freshmen year in high school (I'm now a softmore) and its killing me. I know how hard it is to "just ask her" but we all have to get over our fear and ask girls out.

Meh, don't play the game. The game is biased towards it's creator (the girl), and as such you will always lose the game.

Whoever my future wife will be, shes first going to be my best friend. Not just some girl I asked out because she was cute or I heard great things about her. Screw that. Thats makings for a relationship akin to a daytime TV soap opera. And I hate soap operas.

Yeah, Legionnaired has a good hold on it as far as the making a friendship thing goes.

Zooby, I hope you realize that all this accidental lying crap is playing the game. Tell the truth, why make it so complicated? This may shock and surprise you but not all girls are all up in "the game" and many boys are, as Zooby has shown. I personally tried to kill the game so it keeps its distance from me. -See, it was creepin’ around in my backyard long time back so I hopped out of the 1st floor window and started to strangle it with the clothesline. It got away but it was the last I ever saw of it. Unfortunately many of my girlfriends are not so lucky so I am all too familiar with the workings of “the game.” Nevertheless, some of us do know what's up.

If you like a girl talk to her, become friends with her and then if you still feel you like her then ask her on a nice date or to the park or something the two of you commonly enjoy. Oh, and none of this "out of my league" crap, it's ****. A girl can't know what league you're in if you never talk to her. Most of the time these "outer league" girls hardly ever date cause every guy is too scared to ask her out! So bust a move my fellows! If it's the right girl, your personality is what she's gonna go for and you'll know whether of not she plays "the game" since you've gotten to know her a bit. If you find she does play the game, run like hell or if she’s worth it, try to kill “the game” but I recommend trying something more hardcore than clothesline.

Words of the wise. I'm still wondering whether I should make my move or what. It's weird, sure you can invite freaks over and have fun but when it comes to starting a relationship with someone you really have feelings for not just sex thoughts, it's hard and its a killer not doing anything but wondering what could be. Like Legionnaired said, make your move soon or you might end up regretting it.

    To All,
You can NEVER go wrong just talking to someone. Be friendly to all with no alterior motives and make plays where opportunities arise. Gorge_Princess has got the right idea with talking to girls. I have many beautiful friends that are girls, and they have such a hard time finding dates because guys are too *scared* to talk to them and ask them out.

    A couple of pointers:

    1) It's only 10 seconds of uncomfortableness to talk to them in the first place, after that you've started a conversation.

    2) What's the worst that could happen? She says "No"/won't talk to you. (If this is the case, it's her loss anyhow)

    3) You're not talking to them could be the biggest mistake you ever make. Hindsight is 20/20, and if you always look back and say, "Wonder what would have happened?", then you will always regret.

    4) Life's too short to not talk to them. Besides, they're A LOT of fun once you get to know them!!!

The solution is that you neither talk to her, nor forget her. That way you will become a very embittered man, and upon reaching the age of 30, you'll start taking your frustrations out on call girls.

    [/nasty future visions]

But seriously, even if you are a low confidence guy, do try and talk to her if you get the chance. I've got no confidence in my looks or abilities either, and because of that I made a huge error some years back. There was this very pretty and clever girl I knew back then. I used to talk with her and her friends quite a lot in school, but not on my free time. At the time I would have liked to ask her out, but I was too afraid I'd get turned down and maybe made fun of. I don't know why I thought like that because there should really be no damage in asking a person out, right? I mean, if she doesn't want to, or wants to just be a friend, it's up to you to make that suit you, but if she laughs at you for saying that, then she isn't quite as nice a person as you thought and you'd better look for happiness elsewhere.

The bottom line is that if a person can't even be polite when you tell about your feelings towards them, then they aren't worth being with. So, don't be stupid like I was, and do go and talk to her. It's not a crime, just go ahead.

...but there's always option b. If you choose not to talk to her, you'd better try to actively forget everything you've thought about her, ever. Otherwise you're in for some emotionally crappy time later.

Don't Lie and don't be Phony!
As we all seem to agree, talking to a girl who you have feelings for is damn near impossible. I have a hard time just walking up to a girl in a bar, "What do I say to start it off?" But Its alot simpler to meet here through a friend. Get a third party to introduce you, than the ICE is broken. Be your self and play it off like you don't even want her. Also be confident!

My Tale: So a buddy of mine came over with this girl. I meet her, she has a few drinks and starts to losen up. By the end of the night, shes hanging all over me, licking my neck and rubbing my crouch. I am sitting there looking stright forward at the TV with sweat dripping down my face, because my friend is sitting right there watching me! She starts to lift up my shirt and move her hand down towards my pants, I Jumped up and ran over to him! I said " Robb, this girl is all over me, i'm just sitting there and trying to relax, but I don't want you to get mad at me so I'm not doing anything."

He starts to LOL and says, "damn thats to bad, she told me she wants to do you". I ask. "LOL thats what you get when you pick up a dirty in Toronto." He says.

I tell you what, next time I see her, I'm not going to fight it off! But OMG was that a uncomfortable situation. But its true what they say, when you arn't looking for a relationship, you have alot more fun.

    "Point her to this thread."

Am I wrong when I say that it would make 95% or more of situations like these easier to solve? (Sure, you may not always get the desired outcome, but that risk is the tradeoff of honesty and simplicity)

Yeah, if you want to die. Bulls**ting is the only option with women, honesty never pays and good never wins

Looks like I'll be telling her about the whole thing today. I was trying to pull some information out of her last night, but that didn't work at all (which is why talking to these people's best friends is good!)

[edit]the only thing I said that may be interpreted as a lie is when others correctly guessed who it was. But I didn't say yes or no. When I did say no, the other side wasn't naming a person, so it doesn't count. [/edit]

To make things clearer, it was the girl I liked who asked me who it was, not some random other person. I don't want to say what the Columbian did, because somebody here may know him, and that wouldn't be good at all.

I don't have any 'out of my league' crap in my head, so that's good, at least.

haha, I thought this would have fallen off the front page by now.

Saying that makes baby-oni () cry. in reply to the original poster: ditch the poems, get the 2 girls together and bang them both, then dump them and find someone else.
