Advanced skulk dodgeing tactics
The first thing to remeber is to dodge in 3 demetions. Never, ever only use the floor to strafe back and forth., because you will eventualy over lap and enconter the incoming fire you were dodging. Well, to make it simpler ill use this Example:
Pretend that your enemys fire is like a ball on a string that is attached to your leg. Whenever your doding remeber not to let the ball touch you because it hurts. (shure hope that makes sence lol).

My pattern of dodging usualy goes liek this: i run twords the ememy with a jump from left to right, then a quick strafe from right to left(get in one bite if i can), next i climb up the nearest wall up jump up and away from the wall twards the marine (gettin a bite in if i can), last up the wall agian for another jump and a bite.

It real is hard to explain how i dodge bullets, but i do. When i first set out to write this i thought it would be alot eaisier than it was, because most of my abilitys came from playing wall crawling games for about 4 years. My ball taied to you leg example is the best i can think of and the only thing i have left to offer you is replays if anyoen is interested.

If you want me to make any replays of me playing just post here. I have no idea how to edit my replays, or realy how to start recording or stop one.
ill need a little info on making replays, but i would be more than happy to make them for anyone interested.

I think the gist of what you're trying to say is when you jump/strafe away from fire, don't jump/strafe back in that direction, because the bullets that you just dodged may still be flying through the air. Of course in its simplest form it turns into circling, which is easy for an experienced marine to counter by anticipating. Therefore BE UNPREDICTABLE. Running up the wall and then jumping back onto the marine is a pretty cool idea, I'll have to try it (sorry for stealing your idea but hey you did post it up here!)

    Record: record demoname.dem
Stop record: stop (I think so, atleast)

Also, you can't edit them - not that I know of anyway.

I usually do one set of "Right Strafe, Left Strafe" then I jump on the wall, run towars them, fall off and run a little bit away from them then strafe at them and chomp them down.

Now the question is, what do you do at a long open hallway? Do you wait for the marine to come to you(Could possibly take 15 minutes) or go after him?

If you encounter a marine in a long hall either run away or use cover to close the ground unless your good at jumping left and right or bunny hopping (bhop scripters are gonna be SO fun to get revenge on in 3.0 for those who hate them) at them. But usually just falling back and waiting is better.

To take a tip from Aliens vs Predator:
As the alien you must have an assassin like mentality. Never enter open combat but lure your pray to where you have the advantage. Be sure to ambush Marines and listen to your surroundings so you know if others are coming. Remember you have only your claws and teeth and tail as a weapon while the Marine has a vast arsenal of ranged weaponry. Be sure to bring the fight to him.

Anyways its right. Patience is key.

I was thinking more of that AvP thing. You know, site them a little bit, chuckle at them, you know **** them off, then when they come around the corner bite their head off.

Once you start advancing towards them, don't retreat. I've seen a lot of skulks moving towards a marine, get shot a bit, then change their mind, and retreat. They figure they can't possibly handle the marine. They usually die before they can retreat to safety. If you have to die, make your death worth something. Parasite them before you get into the bite range. Sometime all they have is 10 hp, and if not, then you can hunt your target down after you respawn.

I dunno, it'll be easier to just bunnyhop towards them. Of course, you should never charge at a marine unless he's pretty close to you, assuming he's good you won't have a chance no matter how good you are at dodging or bunnyhopping. Its better to parasite him, and wait for him to get closer before attacking.

Yes that is basically what it comes down to. If the marine is a really good shooter there isn't anything you can do. The most you can do is parasite them, **** them off and draw them near you (provided you have the manueverability to kill him) or you can jump the marine with your skulk buddies.

    3 skulks > 1 marines=Good Game

deffinatley get into the habbit of Parasiting, it is almost more useful than actually killing the marine!

It depends on the marine. I can usually kill 3 skulks when im trying hard. So dont get too cocky just cause there are 2 or 3 of you. Definatley wait till theirs 5 so he tries to run away and you can laugh.

    Now people will be wondering if im serious or not . . . . . . . .

No, you're right. I laugh when I see 3 skulks running at me in a STRAIGHT LINE. Anyways never assume and parasite/ambushing is your friend~!!1

As a comm, on NS_Caged dbl res, I spammed a marine 8 meds and 6 ammo packs and he killed 11 vanilla skulks as a lvl 0/0 LMG marine.
They often came in waves of 2s or 3s. He was caught out while reloading his LMG after killing 2. One skulk hung back outta sight and came in and bit him.

As a skulk being Gun-Ho doesn't always work. Try to be stealthy, walk when you hear marines nearby. When a marine is bunny hopping like a flea on crack stop biting wildley and try to line your self up with him.
