    Whenever I'm pubbing I go silence fade. Its very amusing. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->

    I go silence fade or celerity fade when I've got lots of res to waste.

    I only fade mainly with 3 hives as that I'm not very good and lets face it, it's hard to practice as fade on a random server. By then it's end game so I get cara/adren/Sof-Cloaking. I shoot all my ARs then blink away and heal. If a marine coems around the corner, I can usually switch to blink, come up to him and slash him before he knows it.

    You should try and go earlier fade more often. Next time you're doing the three-hive fade, make it your blink practice session - find a big open space like Great Viaduct and practice blink-flying, then try and make it from one end of the map to the other using blink-hopping. After you've done that once, be the guy on your team that's a 3- or 4-minute fade and just focus on taking down electrified RTs - avoid more than a single marine as blinkswiping takes practice and you don't want to waste res (the reason you're not going early fade now). If somebody shows up while you're swiping at an eRT, blink away and assess the situation - if you have good HP and it's one LMG marine - go back and kick his arse. This way you can still be very effective for your team without risking death very much (it's still going to be possible to accidentally blink around the corner and into the muzzle of a shotgun, we've all been there). Many alien losses on pubs are due to the fact that nobody saves res straight to fade, and marines win solely because they have 3+ electrified RTs. Once you get better doing this, you can take down pairs of LMGers, and possibly rambo shotgunners (but personally, I just wouldn't). Once you get REAL slick you can attack turret farms with phase gates - even if you don't do real damage, it'll create a good distraction, just make sure you don't get caught on turrets blinking out <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Just wanting to concur that yes fades can take a shotgun blast and get out, I'm just a bit paranoid about taking two shots (which is mostly going to be about luck unless you're very very very bad/dumb).

    Yes, bad experiences with clipping have affected me, hehe.

    from my experience fade is better.
    it takes less res, by the time I do die I got enought for yet another fade.
    onos is slow.
    onos is big
    onos can take more though. Could be usefull.

    yet if I go carapace adren fade I found myself taking down more then a usuall onos.
