Movie Pics
Basically, I have a DivX movie, and I can 't seem to import whats on the screen into it. I use the prnt-scrn" function, and it comes up with a black screen- only whats on DivX at that moment(so if its minimized, its black)

Is there a way I can get the stuff from there?

try opening it with windows movie maker and see what you can get out of that

otherwise there are some video editors that let you take a screeny i think, but i cant think of any right now

Get the best damn movie player ever. - Media Player Classic; 0.98MB

I kid you not, the adjustments the guy did to this is makes it the best movie player ever.

And yes, you can take screenshots with it.

*note: the only thing I do NOT suggest you do with it is the speed up/slow down option; besides being the best movie player I've ever used, it's also the first that's ever given me a BSOD in XP after fiddling around with the speed. This may have been fixed with the newer version, but I'm not too keen on trying it out.

I always use a little program called Virtual Dub. It's a handly little AVI Processor / Capture util. Great for redubbing videos, adding subs, re-encoding and such. All for nothing too.

Yeah I use it too to edit some of my recorded movies.

    VirtualDub kicks butt. Use it.

And why the screenshot shows it as black... that's what is actually being displayed on the screen. Your video card is using an overlay mode to overwrite that specific color, in that specific window dimension and anchor. It sounds hinky, but it speeds things up a LOT in comparison by using overlays instead of trying to 'inline' the video stream. Also alows for neat stuff like 'Theatre Mode'.
