Hey .. as you can see I'm relatively new here ... Long time reader ... first time poster, if you may. I really don't know a lot about modelling .. but it is a great interest of mine .. and I would really love to do it. More or less I was wondering if anyone could send me some basic models in .ms3d or gmax format .. so i could use them for reference ... I really don't wanna be like other nubs and just beg for what I want ...

In other words .. spets and I have the same outlook.. cept he's prolly a bit more skilled then I... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Another thing.. If anyone knows of any good tutorials for COMPLETE nubs ... please let me know of that too. I haven't yet had the opportunity to take classes in this certain criteria, cuz i'm only 15 .... and haven't been offered to do so.

Thanks much.

edit: .. Just so you know I've read the Half-Life tutorial and the tutorial here as far as I could until I was completely lost ... and that wasn't very far.

well, being not too much of a n00b, but still remembering when i was in your position... i can re-trace my steps for you...

there is <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=19&t=20223' target='_blank'>This Stickied Topic</a> but it's rather intimidating at first. So i recommend getting through the same materials, just organized better, the <a href='http://members.aol.com/handhyle/101index.html' target='_blank'>Link is provided by Maus</a>

<a href='http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/resources/halflife/tutorials/milkshape1.shtml' target='_blank'>This Link is the best so far</a> that i have found, i skiped page one, but also knew that much already, for those of us that don't really enjoy reading, it is a nice "box-modeling" bible that you should be able to just skim through the pictures and understand.

some more tutorials, which i have personally written, or edited can be found on my website www.thrill2kill.com , enter the natural selection area, and then click on tutorials... it's small, it's not too helpful, but it's at least something.

other than that, welcome to the boards
