Textures and sprites 4 u!

And as luck would have it, I don't have the screenshots anymore... hooray! Make some more I guess...

On my webpage you can get a copy of my new texture wad which features 6 textures - 3 glass textures with 2 variations of each - one with light infestation and one with dense infestation... 1 of the textures is from the ns.wad, the other 2 are from halflife.wad and the infestation itself is obviously the infestation art available for download...

was just a little annoyed that there was no infested glass textures and I need them so, I figure - why not let everyone else have em... and I'm particularly proud of the infestation on the ns.wad texture <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://207.44.144.68/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

Also on my webpage is a zip with 5 animated (4 perfectly looped - 1 is a bit suspect looking) sprites that I am using on ns_odlers .... feel free to use them ....

Oh...small point - if you use any of my textures (hw_glass.wad or ns_wad.wad) please remember to embedd them in your bsp file because not everyone has the wads..

    erm, wouldn't the infestation on the glass go seethrough as well as the glass?
    But regardless, mst of these sprites and textures will prbably find their way into one of my NS maps. Great Work

    How about makign hive texturs with which have transparent blue around them? That way you could put them on top of other texutres and achive the same effect? That way you could have a see-through glass texture with unseethrough hive over it...

    I think that texture might already exist in the Ns wad, I'm not sure though.  In any case, I believe the .psd for the alien infestation might be available somewhere so you can download it and create an infested version of any texture that you want.

    I'm never going to get around to mapping, but I just wanted to ask:  is there a texture for 100% infested ground?  For example, say I wanted to make a huge vine of infestation climbing a pillar, so that the vine would be a brush independent of the pillar brush (it sticks out).  Is there an "elemental infestation" texture?

    BTW, I <b>LOVE</b> the sparks.  However, when you have sprites that have visible gravitational effects (for example the shower or sparks) they get real funky real quick when you view them from above.

    Most of the sprites have 2 versions, with one being axis locked on the appropriate axis to make it always shown correctly... e.g. the shower sprite doesn't move at all, however it is orientated in Worldcraft is how it looks in-game...that way, it doesn't "spin" when viewed at different angles..
