Hey,

Name some of your favorite music videos here and why you think that.
Videos such as anime mixes are ok too. ^^
To not make this a post++ spamtopic please only post if you have one too and don't flame eachother for picking something you don't like.

Phil Collins - Land of Confusion

Cracks me up everytime i see it period.

Michael Jackson - Earth Song

This one just makes me sad and angry.
It's about hunted animals, people killed by war and generally the earth dying.

Metallica - The Memory Remains

One of my favorite 'Old Metallica' songs.
Video is pretty weird but cool.
The band is constantly looping upsidedown and you see a grandma singing some of it

    =)
    Earth song is beautiful.

My favorite video is an anime remix
Lorenna McKennit: The Mummer's Dance with images from Princess Mononoke
I just love that movie and it's almost like watching the whole movie again in just five minutes ^_^

Another good one.. Not exactly my favorite, but I find it hilarious.
Gigi D'Agostino - Bla Bla Bla

    Oh yeah, almost forgot =)
Of course I have to mention the videos from the themesongs in the Final Fantasy series

Aphex Twin - Windowlicker
An absolute classic in bizarre electronic music with some strange visuals. For some reason it's 10 minutes long because ontop of the 5-6 minute song there's a 3 minute or so intro and also credits at the end.

Dir En Grey - Child Prey
For some reason flying vampire mice fighting against a teeny-tiny Dir En Grey just appeals to me.

Brandon DiCamillo / Bam Margera - Skeletor & Beastman.
This was cut from the retail release of CKY4, for a reason i don't know. I presume because of copyright reasons since they use video clips from He-Man. The song is entirely immature and sung by Brandon, dressed up as both Skeletor and Beastman. It's pure comedy.

The Vandals - 4,3,2,1,0,-1
This is, again, bizarre. The Vandals took a hip-hop video on a boat and blue/green screened themselves ontop. It's a great song and the video just never gets boring to me.

I liked the video for "The Scientist" by Coldplay. It's the one where everything is going backwards. There are some nice effects in it (esp that bit where the woman who went through the car windshield goes back in and all the glass goes back into place.

Any of the DEVO videos. Those things are friggin crazy. Classics of the 80s. My favorite of those would probably have to be "Through Bein' Cool" which is just about a bunch of kids who run around break dancing and zapping disco dancers with laser beams that turn them into pinheads or something.

Oh yes, and the Talking Heads videos also. Road To Nowhere is an awesome peice of artistic imagery, and like most things associated with new-wave you can never be sure if it means anything or not.

Kinky has a few cool videos

And what about the Eminem video featuring Dr. Dre? That one was a classic, too

I second Windowlicker, btw. That video is awesome.

    omg see the

"Star Guitar" Music vid by chemical brothers.

its a train ride with the cameras perspective of someone looking out the window in a passenger train.

All parts of the scenery that go by are computer generated (cant really tell though) and everything that goes by is a musical element in the song. Fence posts, water towers, bridges, trees, cars, people, other trains, the closeness of other train tracks, all go with the beats and melodies of the song.

    its really cool.

Also I like the kai Tracid vid, "For Just one Day"

    Basement Jaxx - Red Alert

Any White Stripes video. They're all godlike in their production values. Button to button in particular.

I won't name any Anime Music Videos. We'd be here all damn night.

I was always annoyed they never finished that "anime series" of music videos...

By my understanding, people on IRC have told me that downloading music videos is not illegal as is mp3s, so I continue my bounty hunt...

Pearl Jam - Do the Evolution - I am still hunting for the one man; and individual by the name of "Scumbag69@K-lite.tk" who possesses a 94222kb (352x576) version of this video. If anyone knows where I may obtain a copy of this video, or has the video themselves, I implore you to find it in your heart to let me download it!

    - Awesome video; Todd McFarland rocks.

Other than anime music videos from NHMK, I also like "Sabotage" by Beastie Boys, "Praise You" and "Weapon of Choice" by Fatboy Slim, "Points of Authority" Linkin Park, and "1979" by Smashing Pumpkins.

    And anything by Weird Al.
