    I wrote little "how the world of Halflife works" basics a while ago. it explains what you need to know when you are messing with architecture. it short and easy to understand.

    would it be possible to run the text through an online translator and have someone clean up on that mess? I don't know german at all so I couldn't translate it, but I don't mind trying to work out the gist of what's being said and helping cleaning up the poor grammar that an automated translator makes.

    I can do some tuts. I am in the process of writing a 3 part tut that contains ways to reduce r_speeds, clip nodes, and planes. It is targeted at new-mid level mappers who have the simple basics down already.

    I an translate it myself if it should be nexcessary <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> how do you guys thought I came along with the flood of english tutorials? I have learned a lot . but sometimes it was quite hard.
    for example:
    "to create a rotating door or a train you will need a solid brush with a oriin texture attached to all faces."
    this simple (now I understand) sentence took me nearly one year to understand its meaning XD

    translation? yes? kk. and its very short explaining only some few basics. I wrote it to teach my co-players what is necessary toknown about the engine, gamerelated. should be interessting to non-mapper also...
