    I'll never understand why people want idler's in the channel. All they do is take up network bandwidth.. Its not like they do anything useful, and its not like they are even participating in your channel and most likely don't care if they are there or not... The whole thing seems stupid...

    just general popularity, gets your clan/service/etc more well known. that's like asking why a server op would want more people playing on their server...

    Actually, quite the opposite.
    No server admin wants slots filled by idle players...they want the players to participate.
    Thats why I asked, why wouldnt they want slots open to people who will actually participate?
