Do The Vent Hop!

<div class="IPBDescription">ns_orgin</div> Some of you may already know about this because you saw ME do it first! Everybody knows about that vent that connects the Ventilation hive with Ore Extraction. It's a weird vent in that it has a steep upward incline. If you are going upward toward furnace in that vent just pound on the jump button and you will be amazed at the speed at which you travel through the vent. This is especially useful if you are a heavy armor with a heavy weapon! Does not work if you are going down the vent but if you are going UP you are in business! I use to do this by myself but one time I was leading a team of heavy from our Ventilation outpost to the last alien hive in Furnace. As soon as my squad saw me dusting them as I hopped up the vent, they all joined in! Try it at your local server TODAY!

this works on any and all inclines, this one is noticibly faster tho because of the low ceiling

something to do with the quirks of the hl engine, jumping up and down on a wall increases your speed.

ya and cutting corners makes u speed up 2. so repeatedly press strafe left and strafe rite wile holding forward to go fast and not sound like a zoo *cough* bhopping *cough*

and it's even faster if you BH
believe me, vent jumping/BHing isn't your invention :'/
you can BH in almost every vent as marine, despite that jump slower thingy

If you walk forward down a hall and hold strafe left or right against a SMOOTH wall then you go faster. If the wall is not smooth, you will get stuck and go *much* slower (hehe). Works <i>really</i> well with skulks. Any time that I play a game as alien and then play the next game as marine the dramatic drop in speed is excruciating! The wall slide helps with the velocity withdrawls!

you can still bhop as a rine, timing is all, but it doesnt speed you up enough to be really useful, and its kinda lame, i know i hate it when im a skulk biting some rine and he outjumps me...
