Sin 2 Screenshots
<div class="IPBDescription">AKA John Romero in 3D</div> <a href='http://www.ritualistic.com/screens.php/sin2/Sin+II/' target='_blank'>http://www.ritualistic.com/screens.php/sin2/Sin+II/</a>
Those are a few character screenshots of the in-game models for the upcoming/cancelled (?!) Sin 2. They look on par with Half-Life 2, although HL2 isnt going to have evil green eyed women clad in skin tight semi-transparent garments.
Blade looks kinda like that dude from STALKER... and... wait...
JOHN ROMERO!?

Somone from Shacknews also said Elexis looks like this chick (Robin Tunney):

Ritual posted awhile back saying they had attempted to get Sin 2 made but to no avail, but the post for these screenshots is worded in such a way that I actually thought this was an upcoming game before I remembered. I think its still in development, just low key.

Otherwise- yes, that IS John Romero! HE SUCKS! No, I mean litterally, someone has some pictures of him with a Lollipop.

The clothing skins suck, the faces are good though. Mostly the bump mapping on Blade's face, however it looks a bit like somone stapled sand paper on his face. Elexis's face isnt very detailed if you look close.
They should make Sin 2 under a different name, keep the same characters and stuff just change the name to give it a fresh start. Kind of like the El Mariachi movies (El Mariachi, Desperado, and Once Upon A Time in Mexico were all based around the same characters and storyline but each one could stand on its own).
I was addicted to SiN before Half-life came out! Man that game had a lot of patches (it was damn near unplayable without at least version 1.03). I was one of the few people to actually buy the expansion pack.
In other words, I am a SiN fanboy.
Well come on, Blade is just the ultimate DUDE imo. Sure you've got "realistic" heros like mr Freeman, but does he get akimbo magnums? I didn't think so <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> (akimbo magnums featured in expansion pack only- batteries not included, may contain nuts).
He has the duke-nukem attittude, the "witty" remarks in the heat of battle ("that has GOT to hurt") and the less witty but nonetheless funny ones ("DIE you UGLY ****!" which is probably funnier when you hear it after having reduced a head to pulp with your shotty).
Not to mention JC who must win the most annoying/funny stereotypical hacker sidekick evar award.
"Just try not to get spotted by the guards, oh noisy-wan-kenobi"
Although I may have been brainwashed into liking it by the fact that it was the first FPS I ever played.
To conclude, John R Blade is your god. Kthxbye.
*edit* Hmm, I don't like the new Blade, his dreads looked better tied back. Also... I don't know. He just doesn't look like the old Blade. And Elexis seems to have had reduction surgery (and boy did she need it)*edit*

More proof that Penny Arcade has a strip on every subject. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
And for those who don't remember SiN all that well, back when it first came out it was pretty revolutionary at the time, and graphics were on par (if not slightly better) than Half-Life's. Of course HL was still the big cheese for its amazing single player. But at the time it was actually thought by pretty much everyone that SiN would be the multiplayer successor to Quake 2, as at the time HL's multiplayer was nothing more than a very very buggy load of crap tagged on at the last minute. But Valve got smart and patched HL and made TFC, and well I think you know the rest of the story. :P
Well hell, all you need now is a D.S. Mart and you got yourself a full deal.
