as far as i know, there aren't any 'sweet spots' as far as locational damage is concerned. however, there are what are called 'hitboxes', which are basically squares that register damage when you shoot them. they aren't where you might expect them to be in all aliens, most are low and towards the back of the creature.

you can search for 'hitboxes' and find some good topics on this.

There are no hitlocations that deal more damage, (though shooting an ono from teh front sparks instead of bleeds, but thats just to be cool)

However i would advise learning the hitboxes, at least till 3.0 coms and fixes them, for example the only part of the onos you can hit is the center, shooting a skulks head does nothing unless the shot goes through the head into the body (pretend its not there), the tips of a gorge and lerk also arnt there, and the lerk wings when flying dont register hits.

    here goes (funny, but true):

onos - aim for the nipples
fade - aim for the balls
lerk - try to catch them not flying, they're a bugger when in the air - shoot the body not the wings
    gorge - its big fat butt (that's what you'll see when they're running away <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
skulk - its so small and fast, just try to hit it... but i do know that the box extends over their heads - so if you KNOW a skulk is under a dip ahead of you, shoot it.

i dont really pay attention to hitboxes on the bottom three so im not sure... onos and fade though im sure of.

    heres where i shoot:
-pwnos- butt or belly (2 bad u cant shoot wile bing devoured cause then ur in his belly)
-fade- blow his balls away (so if he asks u to blow him, happily comply with a shotteh to da balls)
-skulk- hind legs (if u cant manage just hit him anywhere cept head) and bout a ft abuv model
-fatteh- same as pwnzor pwnos and tail
-lerk- everything cept wings (if they fly, bottom half of body and bout a ft below model)

    In 3.0--

Onos: Aim somewhere in its general direction. You can't miss it.
Fade: Place your crosshairs somewhere that overlaps with the fade. Head, body, arms, wherever.
Lerk: Body only, don't bother with the wings. Flying lerks only harder to hit because they're moving fast.
    Gorge: Hit what you see.
Skulk: You actually have to hit the SKULK now, not anywhere above it.
