Esc ---> Black Screen

<div class="IPBDescription">And strange crosshair problem</div> I just got a new computer. Of course I installed HL and NS, but I noticed that when I press ESC to return to menu's, I only get a black screen. And sometimes it crashes the whole computer (though I have Win 2k). Also ingame I only see the one blue dot in the middle of LMG:s crosshair, and only the dot and the 'line' under the pistols crosshair (all other crosshairs are also only partly visible). So I can't see the rest of the crosshairs.

I have:
Intel P4 3060 mhz
512 ddr
ATI Radeon 9800 pro
Creative SB Live!

    These problems are caused by using Direct3D mode. Try switching to OpenGL mode in the video options.

    I noted that when using OpenGL and 640x480 the menus start to work. But then HL looks... not so good. But if I put a bigger resolution, it hangs the whole computer when I try to return to menus.

    You may need to update video drivers, direct x, sound card drivers. Also the latest updates for winxp or what ever OS you have.
